Carragher and everyone Liverpool related, spouting how amazing the Liverpool run in has been.
Thing is, anyone can win 9 in a row if the officials dictate the game for you.

It really is disgraceful. It gets worse with every view. Demote these incompetent, foolish officials.

I mean, come on!
He literally defies gravity going over like that!
Then they score from the resulting free kick :wenger:

Just watched match of the day. TAA got away with a red and last goal probably shouldn’t have stood. It probably sounds bitter but this is honestly one of the luckiest league campaigns I’ve seen. Is it just me or do they get the rub of the green near enough every week?
He didn't get away with a red. He didn't deny a goal because Newcastle scored. That's how the rules work. If you bring down a player to deny a goal and someone taps it in, that's not a red card either. I thought this was known to everyone? Was confirmed with the referees after the game either way.

Maybe They will get screwed in the last game. It has to happen at some point after getting so many favorable decisions.

I'm absolutely loving the conspiracy talk from United fans after we used to say exactly the same things about you guys back when you were winning. Gotta love football.

Indeed. You can bet though that if we were in the same position as they are in, most fans on here would not hope for any kind of success in either competition - even if we were at our absolute best with Fergie teams in their prime. But somehow it’s so easy to believe in Liverpool.

Have United ever had 94+ Points ? This is a one-off season. Teams 3 to 6 are dishing out such garbage. Collectively 2 wins out of 12 at the business end of the season is relegation form.

Fair enough. Didn’t know that rule but to be honest I don’t agree with it. Newcastle scoring doesn’t change the offence for me. Not sure if you’re referring to me in this post, but obviously there is no conspiracy. You lot just seem particularly lucky this season and I think you’d be disingenuous to disagree with that.

The thing, I've always seen us admit when something was offside or one of ours dived, and it's certainly not gifted us so many points. Most scousers pretend it's all legit.

I would prefer less points and a title to be honest.

No one ever won a title by getting a certain no of points did they...they don't give out two titles if you hit that mythical number! You win by finishing top. Typical scouse logic.

- References how shit United is? Check
- Implies how unique Liverpool is? Check
- Insults a former United player and real Madrid legend in username (despite purporting to support Madrid)? Check
- Jumps immediately into a liverpool thread? Check

Seems to be a recurring formula with a lot of "neutral" newbies.

But all past United teams are inferior to this Liverpool one because they never achieved 94+ points. That's how it works, right?

Were De bruyne and fernandinho out for those matches ?

Fernandinho was out in the loss to Palace, De Bruyne came on as a sub and scored. Both played in their loss to Newcastle and De Bruyne was subbed off on 65 minutes.

United fans will say that the league isnt competitive and Liverpool fans will say that it is. I lean towards the fact that it is more competitive at the moment. 4 English teams made it to the group stages and we have 2 in the semis of CL. Next year there could be 5 teams (but unlikely). I think the league is very competitive, but money is the deciding factor is how well you spend your money on resources as a club. Liverpool and City are just doing that job better overall. Spurs decided to spend it on a stadium, Chelsea are trying to be self-sustaining, Man Utd are hopefully coming to the end of overspending B class talent and Arsenal have just started to move away from the Wenger era.

My club Liverpool appear to have been good with regard to planning for the future, they have had a clear plan and gone for it, no dilly-dallying or being out off by alternative strategies. Wasnt easy though was it? I think we made top 4 for the last two years by the skin of our teeth even with all that good planning. Man utd have more money (and pulling power?) so maybe it should be easier for Man Utd to get back to winning ways.

Have you noticed that the top 2 are 23 points clear of 3rd at all?

hooked again, I'm terrible atm, :(

You OK, hun? Don't bite don't bite

:D - I don't think I am. I used to be able to tell the mildly amusing WUMs from people posting absolute sh*te.

Worst atm - where ''what I want to happen'' = ''concrete certain fact'' - that's winding me up too, it's not even a club thing, it's everywhere.

It's been a long season though. Hopefully we get some light relief & respite before it ends.

Salah and Firmino wont be featuring tomorrow night against Barcelona at Anfield.
Even being 3-0 down I would've still given Liverpool a slight chance. Barca still dont travel well and with Liverpool's intense pressing, physicality and the striking talents of Salah I think they would've given Barca something to worry about. But now with those two effective forwards out I cant see them causing Barca too much trouble. The effort will still be apparent from Liverpool but they're losing that special something with Salah and Firmino out.

Read a stat today that none of their players have been booked for diving this season. Says a lot.

It seems we get all the luck, but that's because we are on television every week so you see all of it.

We don't get any more luck than any other team in the league.

Big, big blows for them.
Would be a much harder blow if we only had to overturn a 2-1 loss or even had to defend a draw/win. Now, the chances went from 1% to 0.1%, hardly a big difference.

Are Salah and Firmino out for Wolves game as well? Might matter if City drop points tonight, as Wolves don't strike me as a side content to rest on their laurels.

Salah isn't, Firmino might be.

Still with 2 of them you could score in the first 10 minutes and make it really hard for them.

Are Wolves secured in 7th? I think Nuno just likes putting one over the big boys

Reckon might be a candidate for the fair play trophy.

Would make for at least one well deserved honour this season.

I fully expect City to bottle one of their last two games and drop points. A 30 shots on goal but keeper has a worldie, shots cleared off the line, denied by woodwork multiple times game. You know the type of game I mean.

It’s happening. Put some money on Leicester if you’re that way inclined, they’re getting a result tonight
