They don't know when they are beaten.

Is this how they felt about us throughout all those years because this sucks!

It actually is. Just knowing that the late goal is coming. You are just sitting there thinking "its coming" then as soon as you think "maybe it not..." = goal. United were notorious for this too when not playing well.

Barça will take us apart. Our defending and midfield covering has turned to shit.

Really happy we're going to the last day for the league decider. Honestly can't even remember the last time that happened. Actually, yes I can. It was Arsenal. That's a long fecking time ago.

Went to last day in 2014.

If City drops points vs Leicester next Monday, it'd be wise to settle down with the PL (what every Pool fan wants, anyway) and forget about the "UCL comeback" (which most likely won't happen, 2-2 feels about right), rather than risking more injuries, fatigue and doubts. Because Wolves ain't peanuts. Just saying.

Wasn't it 2014?

Watch Salah make a full recovery for the Barca game.
If they pull that off.....my god, I think I will commit suicide!
At least wait till the final ;)

It’ll be even better if Ajax beat them.

Would it be slightly petty to compile a list of all the favorable referee decisions, last min own goals and keeper howlers that have benefited liverpool this season?

You'll need to buy additional cloud storage to manage this.

If there’s one thing last years CL final taught me is, there’s no such thing as omens or destiny in football.

So weird that people are constantly going on about how there has to be another twist in the title race.

It’s football, not Game of Thrones.

Liverpool is Danerys
City is the Night King
Chelsea is Cersei Lannister
Leeds is Robert Boratheon
Forest is Ned Stark
Spurs is Sansa Stark
Arsenal is Ser Jorah
United is Reek

Ergo, I beg to differ.

This season won’t end without a slip up by either City or Liverpool. No way two teams win so many games back to back right to the end.

Tonight was the most likely time for it to happen to Liverpool and they pulled off the 3 points (the cnuts).

I fully expect City to bottle one of their last two games and drop points. A 30 shots on goal but keeper has a worldie, shots cleared off the line, denied by woodwork multiple times game. You know the type of game I mean.

Mark my words, it’s coming. All the signs of a Liverpool title win have been there at many points this season (freakish late goals against Everton and Spurs come to kind).

God help us all.

This. Without a shadow of a doubt. It’s inevitable at this point. Nightmare.

And just for starters is fecking Brendan smugly bigging up his part in proceedings.

Maybe the karmic payback for the amount of spawn they've had this season is the discovery of their industrial scale PEDs use between 1977 & 1984.

You've got to say their a great side and you don't get 94pts through luck, however, as a (fairly) impartial fan who dislikes both City and Liverpool, I have to say Liverpool have had EVERYTHING go for them this season

They've had at least three games I can recall where absolute goalkeeping howlers have given them late winners, they've had dodgy penalties, very few significant injuries, late OGs....if they don't win it this year you have to feel they are jinxed!

City, on the other hand, have generally strolled through games and been well-deserved winners. Add to that the fact they have been without De Bruyne and Mendy for big parts of the season....as much as Liverpool kind of deserve it I feel City are the better side

I think Wolves will hold Liverpool to a point at Anfield which would mean three points would be enough to clinch it for City.

I can't see City dropping points against Leicester, they've won 17/18 at home with the one loss being that freak game they should never have lost against Palace.

Got a horrible feeling Vardy will do something Monday. Got a horrible feeling Scouse name is on the trophy after that dive yesterday.

Just generally got a horrible feeling!

How come nobody talks about their physics-altering plunges to the ground any time it looks like an opponent is coming into contact and the Scouse will relinquish possession? It is astounding. Mourinho (rightly) highlighted City’s fondness for a tumble in the box last season (which riled Guardiola but at least it started the conversation in the media and City, to their credit, appear to have cleaned up their act in this regard) but it appears nobody is willing to mention the sheer number of dodgy falls Liverpool players take in an effort to steal an advantage.

It’s preposterous.

P.S. I can think of only one City incident this season which could be construed as being ‘soft’ or 50/50 and that was Bernardo Silva’s penalty claim in a midweek game shortly after the League Cup Final which City won at home 1-0, despite battering the opposition (was it against West Ham?). Liverpool, on the other hand, have had a litany of dubious decisions go their way. It really is incredible.

And how they cynically takedown at the earliest opportunity anyone who appears to be transition-breaking against them.

All of the teams in this league who employ a high press use this tactic so I won’t single out the Vermin for that, but you’re right, it doesn’t make any less dishonourable (despite, again, their cheerleaders in the media either completely ignoring it or using bogus statistics to vindicate it alá the reporting fiasco after Solskjaer highlighted City’s use of those tactics and the media using ‘fouls per 90 minutes’ statistics instead of ‘fouls per opposition possession minutes’, which City lead by quite a wide margin, I’d wager).

People are going so over the top with the fear of Liverpool winning trophies this season. I can’t believe some on here actually think they are capable of overturning a 3-0 deficit against Barca, or that City will somehow struggle to beat Leicester and Brighton.

People get caught up in the moment. It happens on red cafe when Utd have just won, we are are back to the top and when we lose, we are light years away. Then 24 hours later when the dust settles, we realise we are still crap () .
It's the same with this fecking title race. Everytime Liverpool some how win, you see all the players clenching their fists to the fans, Klopp giving his Motivational speeches and the media/pundits so excited , they forget about how City still need to slip up. It's happened for the last few weeks. Then a day or so later City win, and it all goes quiet again......like it will do on Monday with a routine City win.

Were De bruyne and fernandinho out for those matches ?

Would love nothing more than 2 quick city goals within first 5 minutes against Leicester.

Was an unfunny joke. :wenger:

Where are Liverpool going to invest this Summer? A CB upgrade to partner VVD? An elite striker? Their XI is nicely balanced and pretty complete at the moment. Just some more squad depth?

Indeed. You can bet though that if we were in the same position as they are in, most fans on here would not hope for any kind of success in either competition - even if we were at our absolute best with Fergie teams in their prime. But somehow it’s so easy to believe in Liverpool.

It would be great if city did it in the last minute. The whole of the Kop singing you’ll never walk alone. 29 years of hurt about to be ended, then it gets taken away in a flash. The scenes would be epic.

Liverpool will be repaying the football gods for years after all the luck they’ve received this season yet it still doesn’t guarantee them the title.

Unbelievable.

Maybe they are repayed this season for the bad luck they had last season?

Last season nearly everything went against them in the league. This year it is seems to be the other way around.

I’d love that scenario as well but I’m unsure if could handle the anxiety leading up to a 93rd minute title-winning goal from City. It would indeed be a marvellous situation, however.

Just watched match of the day. TAA got away with a red and last goal probably shouldn’t have stood. It probably sounds bitter but this is honestly one of the luckiest league campaigns I’ve seen. Is it just me or do they get the rub of the green near enough every week?

It really is disgraceful. It gets worse with every view. Demote these incompetent, foolish officials.

 At this point it's only expected for them to get a key decision in their favour in every premier league game. Bizarre season.
