I'll leave this here...

Cundy's the one who said that he wouldn't watch a game if one of the commentator's was female. :nono:

Edit: Just had a listen. Cundy called someone scum for not wanting to support England in the World Cup? Seems like Cundy is the one with the problem (as well as being blatantly sexist).

I honestly thought we were playing City tonight.

It's always fun beating this lot, even if its preseason but it means nothing if we can't recreate a similar performance and scoreline against a Mourinho managed full strength United team.

True … but still you played United off the park. It could have been 5 or 6 goals to 1.

Is there any other sport or hobby that turns people into absolute idiots than football does lol. The Thatcher years WTF.

eSports/competitive gaming  Some of the rages I've seen are insane.

Because it so rarely happens
United rarely lose by more than a goal in games that matter

Liverpool only beat one good team in the whole of their over hyped won nothing last season so their deluded fanbase should celebrate these small victories when they can

We enjoy it more reading these salty reactions as it obviously does mean something to you.

Yes - why not? Do you only watch games in which your team plays?

I watch other teams play all the time. It just surprised me that you took an interest in a United vs Liverpool friendly comprised of a bunch of academy graduates and squad players.

Perhaps you're a closet United fan.

Liverpool have made some incredible moves in the transfer market this year. They lost their best player but with that money have strengthened their squad and starting 11 so much. They're spending what they have to and not baulking at the prices unlike a certain other side.

I get the feeling they really believe they’re going to win something big this year. Can’t deny they’ve made some great moves in the market this summer.

If City slipup, they look like they are in pole position to win the league this year..with their signings and their team

I can see them winning the league if they avoid injuries to key players. Might be a problem if, say, Salah gets injured for two months.

But I get the depressing feeling I’m going to be spending most of the season cheering City on.

The fawning over Liverpool here is embarrassing. We'll still come above them, I absolutely guarantee it.

They're a good team .. but I'm not at all worried about a big pre-season win over a United who were missing pretty much all their key players. Pre-season means nothing, we won't know if they've stepped it up until competitive matches kick off.

I think we’re screwed if Van Dijk gets a serious injury as well. A pairing of Lovren/Matip wouldn’t be good enough if we had to play that over a few months.

It has to be between Liverpool and City for the title. They've spent a lot but well. Liverpool with a decent keeper will be a weird sight.

That boom bust cycle has given me years of joy, but has to end at some point.

A question.

I've seen some Liverpool fans on the official forums saying they'd keep Sturridge as we're now in a position to afford a luxury player like him (where as years ago it would've just been a headache with him injured so often). I'm wondering what you guys think... Think we should keep him as a squad player if he's happy to play that role? If we're looking to move either/both of Ings & Origi along, then I'm definitely warming up to the idea.

Plus he scored one of my all time favourite Liverpool goals, so yeah :D

Sanchez, Herrera, Bailly, Mata, Pereira and Fred are not academy graduates - that's more than half the team that started. Fred cost you £52m and four of the others often feature in your starting XI when fit.

Yeah I’d keep him. He’s useful when fit, especially when playing against sides who want to sit back. He knows where the goal is.

Which goal of his is one of your favourites?

I've always loved the guy and him breaking down the season after Suarez pissed off really did affect us but if he can actually handle training and some sporadic matches he would be the best luxury player we can have. I would sell both Ings and Origi and keep him, besides he's on big wages so I can't actually see him leaving so we may as well squeeze everything we can out of him.

It's just disgusting.

Oh Lallana, David Beckham from 2002 called and said stop copying his shite haircut, what a twat he looked.

, fair point. Honestly though, as a Liverpool fan, have you ever seen this level of praise coming from United fans? You lot must be laughing.

Eh most of its fair it's just annoying when any actual discussion on Liverpool is clogged up by the usual trolls who can't keep it in one thread.
I do think we're lacking attacking depth though.

I still think you don't look all that defensively, personally, and I don't think Alisson is going to fix that. In the same way Alisson didn't exactly stop much when you played them.

Don't get me wrong, you've definitely bought well, but you've not bought well enough to suggest you'd be favourites for the league with city. That's what I keep seeing from United fans.

Pereira is an academy graduate, joined us after he turned 16 as an academy scholar. Fred also didn't start.

Overall point is fine though but barring those 4 mentioned the rest genuinely are squad players at best or academy graduates.

On Liverpool, they've plugged two areas that needed improvement and all in all probably bypassed Spurs and United.
