They won 24 from 30 against the top 6 last season, this season they won 25 from 30. They are consistent. And improving. It's only because they have improved that they haven't missed KDB this season. If he and the other top stars are available next season, late 80's won't be enough for a title (for another team, that is).

This. it's very surprising to me how everyone says we didn't miss KDB this season cause of how deep we are as a team, but we really did miss his quality in midfield. What made up for it is the improvement of Sterling, B. Silva and Aguero. All have had incredible seasons. Aguero was much more active in terms of the build up play this year. If KDB stays healthy next year I can only see the team playing better and can't see a drop off in points happening.

Yeah. Good luck. It's not that you're facing Messi's Barça or a similar Top Challenge...oh, wait...
Yeah you're right, I wish we didn't have to look forward to playing such a good team in the semis of the CL. That's not what football is about at all.

Barça starting players over 30:

Alba
Pique
Rakitic
Busquets
Messi
Suarez

Any others? Ajax would have loved to face those old legs.

Hahaha. "Old" legs, you say. Yeah, and also senile, they can't remember how to play Top Elite football. Thank God for those brats Arthur and Dembélé.

Can't wait till fecking Wednesday.

Oh, and Ajax will most likely face those old cows in the final.

It will be a good game. :) I'm 47 and better than all the youngsters I play with. What I've forgotten about football they'll never learn.

If only the feckers can stop running around me and play to my elite intelligent pace. :(

Are you trying to mock us with your plethora of talents? We wish we had just one of de bruyne, Bernardo or David here.

Any substance to these Firmino injury rumours? Supposedly he’s out for the remainder of the season...
Thought it was Salah. Saw some random guy on Twitter saying Salah didn't arrive to the training ground with the rest of the squad.

We'll find out in about an hour.

Would explain why he was in NY midweek.

He was in New York for Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People's list.
I know. I wouldn't let him leave on a 5-day return between games in this stage of the season though.

Firmino out, but Oxlade-Chamberlain in squad according to Pearce.

TEAM NEWS

that's based on 5 Live's balanced reportage - where Stephen Warnock has been joined by Kevin Nolan

just to make sure we know where the BBC's affections lie

no head injury news on the radio unless my ears gone seriously malfunctioned

I might have misheard, dunno

now doing a bit of an Ole Out special

Warnock wondering about what's happening

thinks Liverpool will win easy tonight - Kevin Nolan not been needed really

Warnock also upset about the situation at Bolton/

''guttering'' he reckons, :D

I read earlier that its a head injury picked up at Cardiff but I cant find it on the BBC website now...maybe they have changed their mind !!

they just said mine again, honestly

and are reporting it as Jurgen that saying it

(gone for the season rhen, :()

Studge in to fill his boots vs. Hudds

Liverpool full backs are so good they could easily play 4-4-2 if they want and it would probably work.

Would it be fair to blame Woodward if Liverpool do go on and win the league? Isn't he why Klopp went there in the first place?

I have a terrible feeling they are going to do it and city are gonna mess up at the weekend.

If City can't beat Burnley then as much as I hate to say it Livershite deserves it. City should comfortably win all their remaining games. Wouldn't surprise me if Baldiola fails though.

There's a huge difference between Robertson sprinting to overlap Mane and Shaw running at 3/4 speed to do the same thing. It's the same on the other side with TTA.

When Martial receives the ball, it's only then that Shaw starts to run from 20 metres behind Martial, so by the time Shaw is in an overlap position, the opposition have reorganised; at Liverpool, Robertson starts higher up the field, and even as the ball is moving towards Mane on the left, Robertson has anticipated the play and created an overload on the left.

We overlap, but we don't create overloads. Ever.
