Agreed, Klopp really needs to ease off as he's making us look stupid now. As for our football we were due a blip and here it is. We don't have Mourinho in charge so this form surely can't last 12+ games?

As I've already said, I can't see us winning the league despite hitting 90 points this season. City's squad is so much better than the likes of old Milner, Origi and Keita and Lallana. :(

I get why he’s doing it but he’s completely wrong. Our last four league games have been poor/average performances and we’re getting away with it. Injuries have played a part but everyone gets them. West Ham had loads tonight and looked fine.

I have to keep reminding myself we’re still 3 points clear at the top with a very strong points tally, but the performances need to pick up if we’re serious about winning it.

How is 3 points a strong points tally?

The wheels are coming off, you were fecking running away with it going into the City game. Now you’re on the brink of collapse.

Steady on. Is that how you used to think when Ferguson had you three points on top and going through some rough form?

We’re crying out for some creativity from the midfield. The front three have to do it all by themselves, leaving us stale and predictable, this game being a prime example. Klopp’s got some work to do.

Looks like their ridiculous luck is finally running on empty. It’s been coming, what goes around comes around.

Either way, they never cease to entertain us and everyone else with their feck ups.

And they still had two ridiculously bad offside decisions go in their favour today! Their luck this season really has been quite something. Stuff like Pickford's howler, Speroni's howler, numerous deflected and fluky goals, a fair few favourable refereeing decisions. This was the inevitable blip when even luck fails them.

Only difference is Ferguson knew how to win titles and trophies, for all the good work Klopp has done at Liverpool so far he's yet to get you over the line in any competition so it's natural few people are skeptical.

City just lost to Newcastle. We’ve lost one game all season and that’s despite playing terribly for most the season according to some.

It’s in the balance right now.

Aside from us at Old Trafford, the rest of their fixtures aren't too bad away from Anfield. They always get 3 points from Everton so I imagine we can still just award Liverpool the league now and be done with it.

They have been a bit of a bogey team for City in the past mind but surely Everton wont do want their neighbours to win the league ?

They've been shite though so will probably be desperate for a win. I remember when we played them in 13/14 when we needed to win to go above Liverpool on GD in May, and it was a such a flat atmosphere because Everton's fans didn't really know who to cheer on. To be fair they livened up a bit after Barkley scored a screamer but it was clear the majority of them were not overly keen on winning.

You'll win convincingly and they'll let you. Their fans don't give a shit what happens to Silva, probably hoping for a new manager in place before they play us.

They really aren’t very good. You’ll win by a few goals imo.

They’re also right on our doorstep. Who do you think will have the worst of it if we win it? They’ll be cheerring you on all the way, or Spurs, or whoever they can find.

Wha... what's that creeking sound?

Liverpool will blow it, as usual.

I wouldn’t even be shocked if Spurs end up finishing above them.

Imagine if they completely fell on their arses, and United finished above them..

They need TAA back. His offensive contribution far outweighes his defensive weaknesses (which is exaggerated anyway).

I haven’t noticed much weakness in his game at all. He’s developed at a staggering rate.

Strange that this isn't more of a focus , Liverpool signed too expensive midfielders in the summer and yet they have Salah and Mane coming ridiculously deep to try and create something. If either of them gets injured your title challenge is over imo

I don't think Keita was bad. Probably our best player in the second half.

It was a disjointed performance. We missed Trent, Henderson and Wijnaldum. Give me Lovren over Matip any day of the week..

When are you expecting these 3 back

There would be something glorious about them coming third in a one-horse race.
I wonder if horses are any good at ice-skating. I guess we'll never find out cause they definitely isn't going to let it slip.

Would love to see Spurs win the league this year but knowing them they’ll find a way to screw it up.

Crazy that a young right back can be such a huge boost to your team coming back.
He gives us so much going forward. He’s still young though and can be got at more than Robertson. I’m a bit nervous about the prospect of Martial up against him in a few weeks.

I think your lot need a big performance before the game at OT, because if our tails are up going into it then there’s no way we won’t go all out and the way we play negates a lot of what the Liverpool defence is good at.

It’s probably going to be the best game between us in a long time, very unlikely that a draw will suit either team.

For what it's worth, I think Henderson is underrated. He's not a world beater but he's not as terrible as many make him out to be.

I don’t see us winning that game. Best we can manage is a draw but a narrow 2-1 United win wouldn’t shock me.

I think he’s rated about right. He’s neither here nor there, I do think he’d improve most of the teams outside the top 6 but he wouldn’t be the best player at palace, wolves, Everton and maybe a few others.

What's the point of Keita then?

This is bloody great. I still have a feeling that City will feck it up and get loopy results just when they need really step up the pressure (like Everton mid week). But damn, it's on now, and I didn't expect it.

I’m clinging to the hope that their complacency will bite them in the arse again. It’s a race now though.

It was always a race. The PL has very rarely been as straightforward as it seems especially with a third of the season left. 7 point gap with 45 left to play for and you had people thinking it was over, despite the fact that one slip up (loss or draw) almost certainly plays with people mentally, especially when the group of players have for the most part never really won anything.

I’ll just never understand the modern day fans who try to jump the gun with predictions. Like people who say “game over” when it’s 1-0 after 5 minutes.

That reminds me of what this place was like at HT in our EL final vs Sevilla. Mass hysteria everywhere.

It’s such a knee-jerk sport.
