Ludicrous suggestion.

I wasn’t being entirely serious but you must admit there are a lot of fans who seem resigned to their version of football Armageddon becoming a reality. You only have to check this thread title and some comments on here and elsewhere online.

It’s because your fan base in general is fecking mental. Genuinely creepily mental.

That's all very interesting but it is, in fact, you who associates homosexuality with negative connotations. My post above implies no such thing, quite the opposite actually.

Had I suggested that the same group of players were about to get their freak on with the entire Swedish women's netball team, what would your response have been?
I wouldn't have responded except possibly to ask why on earth you would suggest that the sexual chemistry you perceive between them on the pitch would lead to an encounter with "entire Swedish women's netball team"?

And for the record I am homosexual.
Don't want to cause any ructions here as I'm new and all but where I see what I perceive to be certainly immature and possibly homophobic posting I'll bring it up and I'm sure you respect my right to do so.
Anyway let's draw a line under it.

They are having one of the luckiest seasons I have ever seen. Chelsea's 2012 CL win is the only thing that even comes close. This is over a whole season though. Mental. Every game they get lucky deflections & ref decisions.

Wow. I normally find this place a good place to read and fairly balanced . But this is nonsense

Next game is huge, and it's definitely early to predict anything. We need not to lose to maintain momentum. If we win that would be a serious statement for sure, but we've been there before with all the t-shirts and stuff. Everybody will be very cautious now. I'll only celebrate if it's announced.

Can't a man dream?

Yeah, let's do that.

Peace ;)

I was born in 94 so I've never seen them win a league title. I personally don't let football take over my life but seeing them win the league is probably the most unpleasant sight in football I can imagine. But ultimately the team that wins a league deserves it.

Lets hope City win convincingly tomorrow and play themselves into form a bit. Why couldnt Southampton keep fecking Hughes for a few weeks longer, Hasenhüttl wont set up his team badly thats for sure. If they dont win tomorrow, Liverpool have won it. They wont lose next week and thats that.

I expect them to smash City now. How will City cope (not that I'm shedding any tears for them) without KDB (injury setback), Gundogan (knock) and Fernandinho (fitness) in the middle? Pep will wear out the grass on the sideline pacing like a madman.

Not wishing injury on anyone but it's about time they had to worry about more than knocks and niggles.

It's very possible that City will beat us on Thursday, they're too good for this dodgy run to continue for much longer.

But, I'm fairly confident that to do so, they will need to score at least 3 goals.

Joel Matip (Broken Collarbone, 6 weeks)
Joe Gomez (Fractured Leg, 6 weeks)
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain (Multiple Knee Ligament Damage, 1 year)

As well as injuries to TAA, Milner, Henderson, Lallana, Lovren and Mane. I would think its a bit unfair to say we have been lucky injury wise.

Get a grip

Im sorry does that provide an argument for the "Liverpool have been lucky" argument, I apologise, what I clearly meant was we clearly have the refs in our pocket this season and our players dont have injuries, they have holidays.

The players you mention are like me saying united aren’t top because rojo and Jones have had lots of injuries.

Apology accepted.

They look unstoppable, much like City last year and Chelsea the year before. Hope City can win on Thursday.

Gomez is an automatic starter, and AOC when fit will start a lot of games.
Jones and Rojo are, well, just not very good.

You spent almost 100 million on midfielders in the summer. The real CB that matters in the Liverpool side is VVD, you can partner with him Lovren or Gomez, the difference is not that big. Matip is just shite.

Thursday's game is a title decider in every sense of the word.

If City can it pull it off, which is not beyond the realms of possibility considering they do have the best first 11 in the premier league, I think they will go on to win it the title with relative ease - whilst the dippers spiral down the table in true boom-bust fashion.

However, a Liverpool win = game over.

Big game, big stakes.

Matip and Smalling are virtually the same player. Gomez looks the better prospect than any of our CBs. Lallana = Lingard and AOC is better than anything we’ve got for the RW.

Pfft. With Dr Teeth Klopp & Bobby The Dazzler Firmino both in close proximity and the sun now climbing higher in the sky once more, I’m pretty confident visibility on the pitch will be affected from various angles and Liverpool’s form with it ;)

If they win it and it gets us to pull our fecking finger out, then I don't mind so much.

I am still in the camp of not over yet just few rounds ago City were looking good and Liverpool were riding their luck slightly ,things could change quickly again but City needs to win next two games for sure to have any chance Guardiola may prove to be United's Saviour after all in a twisted way.

Fair enough, I concede.
We've had no injuries, and are only top as a result of this good fortune and favourable refereeing decisions.

Even if they win It's still 13 titles to 1, not the end of the world, it was gonna happen eventually.

Of course, I forgot Sky invented football in the early 90's

It's definitely not over and anyone who thinks it is is a fool or just preparing themselves for the worst (no Liverpool fan thinks this)

However City have had plenty of late wins this and last season so I don't get why they haven't been accused of riding their luck the way we have. In reality we have accumulated an awesome amount of points and that's because we've been the best side in the league.

I appreciate the caution most sensible Liverpool fans have, no doubt due to the experiences of the Slip, Sevilla in EL etc. But it's ok, even you guys can be allowed to gloat over the fact that your team is following the exact same pattern of Champions Elect over the years. Dispatching weak teams with ease and confidence, grinding out wins in tricky fixtures, ample luck favouring you in most situations and above all fielding a XI and having a bench with absolutely no discernable weakness. This is typical premier league winning formula and you are following it to the letter, unfortunately for your rivals.

Exactly!! All the United Supporters need to relax until after the City match. If city win, its genuinely a toss up for the league, with the edge to city (assuming they beat Southampton). If it's a draw, Liverpool are favorites, but its still up for grabs. If Liverpool win, then they can all freak out about how the title is inevitable. Until then, I'm keeping my feet on the ground, like almost all the Liverpool supporters I have seen.

Am I the only United fan rooting for them over City? If City win then they'll continue to dominate the league for years while we get our act together. It'll be better if everyone wins one title each until we're back in contention.

Someone get him a tag.
