Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

Don't see why Henderson would come here and be a squad player when he'd start every match and possibly be captain at Liverpool.

Also don't think he'd be that much of an upgrade over Ramires. Mikel, yes.

He's basically a better version of Ramires. Not sure why you'd compare him with Mikel though, Henderson isn't a holding midfielder.

I keep hearing ex players and pundits saying it's not the Liverpool way, keep it indoors, but they don't half leak things and talk in public these days and it's been happening for years and years now.

In the Telegraph, Brenty's been straight on to Chris Bascombe to downplay any adverse fall-out from the weekend - now upbeat again, all about winning the last 7 games and a nice reference that Wed is their ''2nd semi final of the season''.

They'd be daft to sack the silly sausage though, wouldn't they?

They should keep him around just for his PR.

Of course, Wed is the QF replay.

''want our 2nd semi final...'' is what he actually says

Sorry Brendan.

City need midfielders and they need homegrown players. I can see them making Henderson very well paid.

Rodgers won't be sacked if he reaches 5th place. Still has a chance to win fa cup too. I'm certain that he will get ultimatums in the summer though.

That being said IF he has lost the dressing room support, then he won't last much longer

Spent over £100m in the summer after he came out with a remark that Spurs should be challenging for the title having spent that amount of money, despite selling the best player in the league.

Abysmal showing in the Champions League preceding an abysmal showing in the Europa League.

If he doesn't win the FA Cup or get top 4 I think he's gone. I've never seen Rodgers so downbeat after a game. Normally he comes up with rubbish about his team being 'outstanding' but he didn't even try this time. If he has actually lost the dressing room then that's even more reason to get rid of him.

Rodgers may see the City job free this summer and will rightly see them as a better bet to win trophies and recent rumours suggest he may be in the running for it. It would not be unfair to sack him after what may end up being in a season in which he misses every objective set.
What?

Suddenly all these stories of contracts rejected and player-manager bust ups. Turning into a delightful circus this.

It gets even worse. Balotelli and Gerrard want to sign new contracts.

Not even a rumour though is it. Just some writer giving an opinion

Herbert writes it as though it's fact:

The Liverpool manager will be the first option after Pep Guardiola
“We like him very much,” Soriano told me two years ago. City wanted him as Mancini’s assistant in 2009. They took Rodgers to a hotel in Sardinia to meet him with a view to that happening, though Mancini wanted his own people. The Spaniards running City have not failed to notice his tactical ability this winter
If Pellegrini leaves, City will try.

Fecking hell, imagine losing Suarez, Gerrard, Sterling and Henderson in the space of 2 years. Add in Sturridge injury record and they'll basically be decimated.

They'd need to spend a shit load to cover that.

Coutinho linked to City :( £35m is a fair bid, but he's the one player I'd hate to lose more than any other. Didn't mind Suarez leaving because he was a bit of a bell, but Cou is our best signing in years, and watching him play just makes me happy.

If Coutinho leaves along with Sterling then Liverpool really have just resigned themselves to being a feeder club. Didn't Coutinho recently just sign a new contract with wages only around 60k? Would be crazy to sell him right now.

Surprised Coutinho signed a new contract with only 60k wages, i didn't know that. City could easily triple that and if the Brazilian sees that the best players at the club are leaving he could be easily tempted to move on too.

I read that number on RAWK......so it could be made up.

You mean like Suarez ? "I want to move to Arsenal" You have a contract so the answer is NO !

However we did increase his salary to 200k so I'd imagine we'd increase Coutinho's too.

I don't believe most of this stuff about contracts. It's just the papers looking for clicks on their websites.

I don't believe all this speculation re. transfers either ! Look at every Summer .... 95% is just made-up shite and 4% don't happen even though there is some truth to the rumour.
