Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

Gas was one of those that didn't fully give Suarez the credit ge deserved while he was with us, but now that he's gone credits last season all to him. Typical.

I'm enjoying your failings as much as the next person, but I think it's jumping the gun for people to suddenly suggest Rodgers is some rubbish manager who doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Still rate him, although he's made some major mistakes obviously.

So Rodgers deserves no credit whatsoever for numerous Liverpool plas sugnings lookiyers either coming of age or hitting superb form? It was all down to complete luck that Liverpool went from a side lumbering in 7th/8th, arguably mid-table, to challenging for the title?
I don't deny he's got plenty of flaws as a manager, but it's a bit ridiculous to just say he's a fraud. Maybe, just maybe, his half-decent managerial record is because he's actually a decent manager who might be having a shite season?
I've given him plenty of credit in the past but its not looking good at the minute, I have always thought him a fraud though.
You are getting it though, it does look increasingly like luck or he would have his own signings looking at least cohesive in some small manner.

@Barney once Suarez hit the form he did I was gutted but couldn't deny it, I'm not a fecking scouser.
.

Sturridge was his own signing, wasn't he? Again, he's had a shite season so far, but he's undoubtedly a half-decent manager.

You almost get the feeling that Gerrard is bigger then the club, I get the impression Rodgers is scared to drop him!
Watching England is like a breath of fresh air now that Gerrard's gone and isn't slowing down our football, giving the ball away with his Hollywood passes, and shooting wide from 23 yards every 5 minutes. Liverpool could benefit similarly, I suspect.

The football still has been average.
He consistently had one of the highest pass completions.
He rarely shot for England.

The football and the pressing in the last few games has been better, it wasn't just Gerrard it was Lampard as well until not so long ago. It's a breath of fresh air now that they're gone, without looking exceptional the team has looked better, especially against Scotland.

Went to bed at 1-0. Surprised they lost 3-1 though. Must have been a pretty bad second half. Gerrard has to be benched, he cannot play that role at all (from a defensive perspective).

Looking forward to Monday Night Football

Liverpool have now committed 17 defensive errors this season, more than any other side in Europe's top 5 leagues.

Brendan said defending was easy. :wenger:

He didn't at all. Complete rubbish, the position he was playing for England should have been 90%+ pass completion and he was averaging 85% which was 10th out of the England team and 3rd out of our midfielders. In the Uraguay game he had 69% passing accuracy.

The money Rodgers has wasted in his time at Liverpool is simply staggering. Only Sturridge and Coutinho have worked out so far and there isn't much hope for about half of the numpties they signed this summer.

Played like he was engaged in that position yesterday

Mignolet is bloody awful.

Random, but true. He really is atrocious. He was very consistent for Sunderland oddly. It's incredible he hasn't been dropped yet and at this rate it seems an question of when, not if. Same as with Hart last season. Liverpool desperately need to replace him or drop him and hope he comes back at a high level.

Presumably only because their backup Jones is absolutely horrible.

Just watching MOTD and he's made a few mistakes. The only game i've seen him play decent in for Liverpool was his debut, been shite otherwise.

Jones is woeful yeah but even he wasn't making mistakes as regularly as Mignolet. Neither of them should be at the club next season (ideally gone in January but that won't happen).

Having a browse through their forum on united, it's amazing they still think currently they are better than us.

We are getting away from them now in the table, and they also just lost comprehensively to palace which we beaten recently? Granted our performance wasn't great but we were still the better team that day. Can't say the same for them yesterday.

And to top it off, we are looking forward to blind falcao Herrera jones Rafael shaw to come back and revitalise our team. They are looking forward to sturridge coming back and a small hope that Rodgers can perform miracles?

Even with all that, they (think) are still better than us?:annoyed:

Also, I wonder when will the excuse of us having an easier fixture will end (their alternative league table)? Maybe in April?

Came here to share it  No leadership and no men. What about the captain fantastic then, eh?

That's the funny part. Carragher won't drop gerrard even if he is the manager because he is his great pal. I hardly see him criticise Gerrard specifically. It is like saying we have no captain material in the team currently but you can't blame the captain.

He is better at analysing other teams to be honest if he lacks the guts to dig into pals that are underperforming.

How has Jordan Rossiter progressed this season?

Really surprised that none of your young ones is getting a chance particularly Sinclair and Ibe who are talented and since rest of your strikers look shit,

Played one game where he scored and was very good. He's still progressing well for the reserves too.

Ibe is on loan. I don't agree regarding Sinclair. Too much pressure for him. Yesil would have been perfect had he not had those two awful injuries.

I was at the England Vs Scotland game and the only journo who called the game spot on was Scholes imo. As Scotland looked like a pub team and England like a lower premier league team at best. No where near a top class team. People can dress it up but England are very average side and lack the star status of the past who also failed but were in with a shout. This team has no chance at the moment.

Allen looked good yesterday.

Yeah, where's Reina? I think he's still connected to their club? Not that he was much better in last season or so but Mig is really making a fool of himself. Some free kick videos of his in the meltdown thread are ridiculous, he really can only stop shots.

We sold Reina to Bayern in the summer.

Mignolet barely saves any shots now either, he is really, really bad. There's rarely a goal that goes past him that you couldn't ask whether he could have done better.

Any chance of Jones filling in for a while? Can't remember too much of him, but seemed solid besides the odd howler. Might even be worth putting a bid for someone cheapish but decent of Vorm's ilk to spur Mig on in January.

Not a chance. Mignolet won't be dropped just as Gerrard, Lovren/Skrtel and Johnson won't be dropped.

Jones is pretty terrible but he was never this bad. We need a long term goalkeeper as soon as possible, sending a message out to Mignolet isn't enough for me because he's been truly awful for his entire Liverpool career bar the first few months. He's proven he's not good enough, it's not just a lack of competition.

If Liverpool had a capable keeper last season, you'd probably have won the league. Mignolet's shocking attempt at saving Negredo's shot springs to mind in particular.

Not amazing at all. They've had the better team for years.

He made a feck up or two against Chelsea around that Christmas period too. That's when it all started going downhill for him - he was decent enough before that but he hasn't recovered from those mistakes.
