Not premiership proven though, I reckon we make an offer but not too high as he might not work out against the defenders in our league.

38 games this season 34 goals. 10 assists

24 games in the league 25 goals.

Could easily get 50 at this rate.

Arsenal are gonna get raped.

They can't defend at the best of times.. how the feck will they cope with an on-form Messi?

The wankfest by the commentators can be a bit embarrassing though. Earlier Gerry Armstrong said he's better than George Best. No idea if this is true, because i've never seen Best play, but maybe Messi's Legend will be more appreciated through out the world than Best's.

EDIT: Okay, this boy is fecking good.

I've long since given up on my shite stream and the missus has control of sky, will somebody be posting highlights videos lateR?

What's the reaction to Messi in Argentina, Marcos?

Is he expected to become a true great of the game over there?

IMO, this season, Messi has had a better season than Ronaldinho, Ronaldo or Zidane ever did at their very best.

Aye, but it's not showing is it in terms of the position of the team? It's all that one man team bollocks. What if Messi had had a bad season? Where would Barcelona be in terms of their position in the league now? Where would Real Madrid be if Ronaldo has not been injured for quite some time?

If he plays in the Wolrd Cup half of what he plays for Barcelona, you can bring Brasil with Garrincha and Pele. The thing is that with Maradona he still have done nothing.

Ibrahimovic looks shot on confidence at the moment, same with Eto'o.

I think Messi was better last season but in the last few matches, you could argue he's played better than any game he did last season. This month he's been scarily good.

:eek::drool::(

Comfortably the best since Maradona. Thread can be closed.

This is very confusing...do you agree or disagree? Barca are still on course for the double. Despite the popular opinion, Barca have been fairly shite this season, it's been the greatness of Messi and some of his out of this world performances that has put them in a position to succeed. Xavi and Iniesta have been rather poor judging by their standards, whereas Ibrahimovic has been utterly wank.

As for Madrid, they keep battering shit teams, but they falter as soon as they face a half decent squad (see Lyon). El Classico is gonna be quite something this year I think.
