Me too, I pick a theme and run with it. Just picking the best players doesn't interest me that much.

I don't have a plan (possibly obvious). Other than the goalies, I just pick players I've seen/like .... then will cobble them together.

Same. Which is why I have been asking to reconsider the next draft to not just be a plain no criteria draft.

If you build based on a theme, you will get steam rolled just by the sheer quality of the opposition.

It does though allow you to build any theme you want. A potential idea would be to run the Peaches and GOAT draft again but with a significantly smaller budget. Easy constraints but lots of freedom too.

Doing something with Cristiano would be interesting, actually, as he's a player I wouldn't normally go for.

Tailoring a team around him to exploit his strengths to the max could be quite fun in a fantasy setting.
