No question about that. I think what they're referring to is the Didi-Di Stefano combo (which famously was no great success).

Not worried about that, though. I plan on exploiting Di Stefano's superman status to the max by playing him as a free roaming goal keeper.

He's not a bad pick though in an all-time draft. Absolute master of the offside trap and in reading the game, which allowed Liverpool to play on the front foot and territorially dominate games.

I wonder how that'll work out, unless you're planning to bench one or the other (which I hope you don't for the sake of either player).
 
This is right up @harms alley, the box he's in. I wonder if he'll go for a huge name here or someone who he'll love to write about.

Well, on another serious note - we all know what the combo stands for.

So, given that I'm not a complete idiot and all...

End of the day, the upside to picking him is worth more to me than the downside of not actually being able to play him.

Wasn't too keen on any of the alternatives, in other words. Some good players there, but without having done any extensive research they look a) a bit too underwhelming, b) easily improved on or c) too old (can't be arsed selling ancient players this time around).

That criteria confused me. Was it ever actually specified that you had to pick someone who had played for Real Madrid at all? I'll use Pele as an example as he's already been picked - he has less than 30 appearances for Real, so is he a valid pick @Edgar Allan Pillow

He has "not played" at all. Criteria is he should have "played" less than 30 games. Played 0 games is not a valid argument at all. :lol:
