La Liga 2024/25

In the last 5 years, Barca won 1 league title. Atletico 1 also. Madrid 3. They had a good start last season as well before collapsing.

Barca need to perform in the CL again to truly be back. The domestic league is one thing, but it's the group stage exits and the humiliations in the CL that have hurt them the most.

However, in the last ten years they've won it five times to Real Madrid's four...............and that includes during Madrid's peak three-peat era!

But yes, not getting shit done in the CL is a huge detraction to their image as a giant club indeed!

Has Alvarez scored a goal yet? City pulled a blinder with that deal.
Granted he has played a lot of football and needs rest

I'm not sure what to expect from them in the CL this season. They were unimpressive in the group stage last year, then were better than PSG in the semis but bottled it. I need to see them against the likes of City, Bayern, Inter to gauge where they really at.

They had 3 of the 4 best players in the world in the greatest attack in european football history for 3 years and got 2 Leagues and 1 CL out of it. Then Messi still best player in the world 3 times a week for another 2 seasons and they dropped 3 goal leads to Roma and Liverpool starting Shaquiri and Origi

If anything, it's Barcelona who underperformed

Will be nice to see TAA leave on a free to Real.

And Saliba going is worth the meltdown of Arsenal fans!

I like this plan, and would like to subscribe to its newsletter

Goalkeepers hoarding all the action in Madrid - Espanyol.

Great assist by Vini, before scoring himself moments later, rapid counter attack, the team sure has pace.

Endrick managed to push his way into the box through a foul to win the penalty

Love this kid

What an awful foul to be fair. I would have been ok with the ref awarding a pen even if it had been 5 meters from the box.

That Endrick lad is very exciting to watch. He's a bit of an agent of chaos out there.

I knew Gallagher and Atleti would be a perfect match. The fans love him already, and he’s hit the ground running. Buzzing for him.

Ter Stegen has ruptured a patellar tendon and is out for months. I know many Barca fans have been critical of him, but do they have any adequate backup?

La Liga refs are so fragile mentally
Kinda dumb from Fede. Mbappe got a yellow for the same thing just 3 days ago. Guess they don’t want those gestures this season.

Is it a bird? Is it an airplane?

No, it's Fede Valverde.

Gestures not directed at a person should not be booked. You’re running for 90 minutes and your pulse is through the roof, it’s just general frustration.

I guess but if those are the new rules and they are made aware of them…this was fairly early in the game as well. Just dumb from Fede. I would understand in a high stakes game against Barca or something but need to be smarter. Got so many yellows already while barely making fouls. Not just this game either. I fear losing players just by the sheer amount of cards. Not necessary.

No matter who is the player or what team he plays for, if you can get booked for this the rules are simply wrong.

Yeah Alaves is just very poor. Not that we’ve been so great.
