Benzema 2 goals in his last 13 games. Is he getting much stick off the Madrid press or does he get a free pass because Florentino loves him?

What's the plan with him anyway. With Bale you can see them selling him eventually but Benzema is 31 so is he going to retire in Madrid or at least play there until he's 33-34 and then go to MLS or China?

Benzema isn't scoring but he's constantly alone against 3 defenders, and the team relies so much on him to move the ball and create chances. He's actually been consistently really good of late. One of the few good things we've got going right now

Happy with him there until his mid 30s as would imagine his movement will start to decline a bit.

Depends what we do in the summer. I think we need to replace him with a scorer and improve the midfield and creative forwards position. But he's been back to his best so far this season, the least of our problems

We were really good in the second half, but needed a wondergoal by Casemito to win. Solari keeps insisting with Lucas who should never be a starter. He's an impact sub, that's how he should be used

Only saw the first half but I thought Reguillon (at least, I hope it was him on the left) and particularly Ceballos were really good.

That dribble by Vinicius deserved a goal too.

Hopefully he will leave this summer for MLS or China, he should have been kicked 3 years ago anyway, he is such an useless player as a '9', specially without Ronaldo :D

That’s the thing though. He was not useless at all with Ronaldo being there. He complemented him well. You should have sold the, as a package.
 
Benzema is the least of Madrid's problems. They need to buy more quality players, not sell the good ones they already have.
 
Canales has to be in the next list of Luis Enrique, one of the most fit Spanish players.
I'm happy for him.
Celso is also playing a great season.
I guess that PSG will want him back next year?
 
Bilbao winning yet again. This would be a huge one given it's away to Villareal.

From what I've seen last few weeks think Villareal and Celta Vigo are joining Huesca in segunda. Neither have had that new manager bounce Bilbao have had from Garitano so far.

Rayo and clean sheets don't really go together. I was only expecting a draw today so 3 points would be brilliant. La Real bit tired from playing Betis on Thursday night.

That's true.
As you say Rayo cannot help conceding goals.
I am more hopeful for Bilbao now. Can I ask, were they giving Williams a bit of unfair attention?

He was getting a few kicks yeah. Villareal played deep defence so he couldn't really get into the game much, Bilbao relied more on wing play and crosses today.

Anyone got a replay for the Williams "goal" given offside? Can't find anywhere. Good they got a point at least.

Barcelona have a tougher run of games coming up. Hopefully drop points and we get a close title run in. Not likely this evening though.
 
And to think there were people who were saying Barca would regret buying Dembele :lol:
 
Dembélé has been spectacular (minus the occasional misplaced pass), while Coutinho is spectacularly not doing it.
 
Leganés are looking the more dangerous since the equaliser, Barça reeling a bit, almost panicky.

But now have Messi and Rakitic coming on.
 
Pique is so vulnerable the moment there is even just a little space behind him. He really can't keep up with any forward that has decent pace.
 
Pellegrino has previous in Camp Nou, won there with Alaves two seasons ago.

Guy who couldn't get in Boro team this year scoring v Barca. :D
 
Everytime I turn back Suarez is involved in some sort of altercation.
