La Liga 2018/19

You can’t even watch La Liga in the US anymore. Unless you want to sign up for the online app, but feck that. Not paying extra again, for yet another streaming service. Hilarious that they are trying to do a game out here, yet don’t even have TV coverage on any of the major carriers.

Why did beIN terminate contracts? Edit Just Googled it some kind of fees dispute.

Why did beIN terminate contracts? Politics?

They asked for more money and both Comcast and Directv dropped them. Then Verizon fios followed suit. All saying the same. Bein for their part accused Comcast of attempting to drive them out of business to help their NBC premier league coverage, and potentially pick up the rights themselves.

As a neutral in this fight, Bein has always been a bit of a fringe channel here anyway. Their coverage sucks, and they have the worst commentators and studio analysis going. I’d love to watch La Liga, but even when it was on, I would often skip it because Bein was so bad. Ray Hudson needs to be exiled to the center of the earth.

Solari isn't going to finish the season and it'll be hilarious.

Madrid is a funny circus currently.

Poor Ray Hudson, I thought his geordie twang would go down well with a US audience. His metaphors are a bit ridiculous though. UK la liga coverage is pretty dire too. Luckily lots of other options.

VAR working well in La liga today, no big delays and they got that right he's level.

Unbelievable second half

Solari should be sacked right now. We seriously might finish outside top 4 otherwise :wenger:

It would be funny as hell if Real Madrid get knocked out by Ajax and don't finish in the top 4 come end of season after winning the CL 3x in a row.

This is surreal to watch, Madrid holding on barely attacking against Betis.

When they do attack they're looking dangerous though

Isco unused sub, he's getting the Pogba treatment.

Average age of Madrid 11 must be pretty low atm. I think in the circumstances holding on for a point is pretty decent.

This is brutal. We played them off the park in the first half. Where the hell did our energy go in the second? I can't accept that Benzema's injury could affect us like that in a game we were controlling with ease

I know feck all about what's going on in La Liga since Sky lost the rights. They don't even update you on the news channel on the Sky. Complete media blackout

Is Ballague even still alive?

He's a co-commentator on the feed I'm watching. Done a fair few games this season along with Graham Hunter. Think he also does a bit on 5 live.

Silly fool by Carvalho, imagine if West Ham had signed him for 40m.

This is incredible. Betis having 70%+ against Real.
Edit: So underserved.

We should be all over Isco. I’d love to buy him this month. Massive upgrade on Mata, and genuinely gives you another option in attacking midfield. Just. Wonderful player. If he goes to City he will be brilliant.

He certainly needs to go somewhere where he can properly establish himself. 27 in a few months so we're not talking promising young kid anymore. Seems he'll wait until summer and see if Solari gets sacked first.

Clever free kick from Ceballos for the goal. Deserved win overall after wasting some many chances in the first half.

After the 80th minute Real actually tried to attack for like a minute and scored.

Solari's half time talk must have gone something like this "we played football in the first half, that's no good. You guys know how i feel about that. Now go out there and do nothing!"

Nice VAR decision again against Real (after the clear pen against Vinicius against Sociedad).

It's really a joke. Even with lines they are to stupid to decide it.

Haha, I think the team can go gears up when they want to, despite several players missing. They just don't seem to want to. The whole situation is weird. I was reading this just now: Isco, leave now. It's funny how it directly addresses the player in first person, as if he's the sole reader of the message.

 That is level. Hard to get the perspective on the shoulder with the angles. It's as accurate as you can get realistically. Definitely not clearly off like the Kane one. When it's so tight attacker should get the benefit.
