Bale has been a bit shit tonight.
Still got an assist. Benzema and Asensio have been worse.

Benz has regained his usual form again indeed, Asensio was alright I thought. Been involved in most good attacks.Still got an assist. Benzema and Asensio have been worse.

The whole front 3 have been a bit let down by Real's midfield. The midfield played at such a slow pace that the front 3 rarely received the ball in threatening positions. There were a few instances where Bale would ask for the ball over the top, but no one would ever deliver it.Still got an assist. Benzema and Asensio have been worse.

With Isco on now, Real's tempo has quickened. Casemiro coming on initially helped, but Modric and Kroos were still playing at a slower tempo as both came deep to show for the ball. Isco, however, has played higher up and demonstrated quicker vertical movement than Modric did, opening up spaces for the front 3.
I wouldn't have taken off Bale for Vasquez, but I think Lopetegui wanted to freshen up the front 3.
Vazquez is such an idiot sometimes, I just don't rate the guy.

Indeed, he works his ass off but so do many others, who don't run into blind alleys and lose the ball all the time. His work rate is second to none and is an useful player to have, but never good enough to consistently be one of the three coming from the bench.
Nice to get two good results in a day.Fair draw. Bilbao were outstanding and Real had to their socks off to draw.
He's very hit and miss. And when it's miss, good golly it is spectacularIndeed, he works his ass off but so do many others, who don't run into blind alleys and lose the ball all the time.
Sometimes I think he's got the close control of Isco or something.
I can't believe JL brought him on instead of Mariano when we needed a goal. He's very hit and miss. And when it's miss, good golly it is spectacular
Just watched extended highlights of the Bilbao/Real Madrid game. Really enjoyed what I saw. Simon for a youngster, who was going out on loan and has been thrown in at the deep-end looks good. Really good move from Bilbao for their goal, thought De Marcos did well. Draw was probably the correct result.
We are above Atletico Madrid, have scored more goals than them and have played a game less.
They have. Happy so far with. He is only young so I know there will be mistakes, but he will learn quickly. After selling Kepa for a transfer record it looks like Bilbao have accidentally stumbled upon another good young GK in Unai Simon.
Yep, they have evolved since the Guardiola years. They play as Xavi and Iniesta were still there.Still to watch the Madrid game.
Barcelona, though, are becoming a very hard team to watch. Slow, insipid, pointless passing 95% of the time. Very Van Gaal like. They'll struggle if they meet City or Liverpool in the CL IMO.
More like devolved.Yep, they have evolved since the Guardiola years. They play as Xavi and Iniesta were still there.
Real Sociedad could have scored 3 or 4 easily yesterday. They just have a lot of luck and Ter Stegen, and they're better at grinding teams downYeah don't like watching Barca much in La Liga either. Thing is they're pretty defensively solid so they don't gift goals away like Real Madrid do so they can do enough to keep the opposition out and then bit of Messi magic or Suarez poaching a goal wins them the game.
Eibar take the lead in the 90th minute. Terrible last few minutes by Atleti... they have the players to do it but it doesn’t seem like they’ll challenge for the title at all this season.
This game was just galling. I have grudging respect for Getafe's fouling, theatrics, time-wasting but also clinical efficency going forward. They make Atletico look fair in comparison. The ref totally bottled it and decided the game. It was a difficult game, but this guy was totally inept. Ruling out at least one good goal, probably two, missing a stonewall pen and a red card. Good job.
To Sevilla's performance: I don't want to see Roque Mesa ever again starting a game. I rarely remember being a player so bad. I'd rather start with 10 players. Banega was all on his own in the middle of the pitch until Vazquez came on. Navas is probably going to have nightmares from Antunes. It wasn't all bad, but the team lacks quality up front and at the back. The centerbacks are bang average and so are some of the attackers. With Mercado, Escudero and Gonalons three of the better players are out injured and the rest isn't all that great. Sarbia with a stinker, but nobody should expect him to make the difference week in week out. Andre Silva nonexistent. Nolito was motivated but isn't up for it anymore (he didn't get a stonewall pen). Ben Yedder was okay, but also totally inefficent. The game could have gone on for another hour and they wouldn't score and if they did, the ref would rule it out.
Valencia, Sevilla, Villarreal and Atletico all with really bad starts to this season.
