La Liga 2017/18

I'm always impressed when I see him play. (Admittedly I don't watch Valencia very often though). Had similar thoughts when I saw him as a youngster at Sevilla too.

He's a good player, just made the wrong move to Inter. Back to his best at Valencia.

Surely a premier league club will take him eventually.

Will it be the last season for Simeone? with Conte probably resigning/fired by the end of the season i can see Simeone taking the job at Chelsea.
Think so. Atletico's core is still from those famous 2 years (2014-2016). Time for a change.

Atleti are doing well in terms of points but yea they're absolutely impossible to watch.

Las Palmas is suddenly right back in this, useless away but have won their last two at home now.

Can't paste a link, but watch this. Some people claiming pro-Barca ref during last match. Must be some serious agenda out here.

Didn't know here is full of TV fans , thought there are real football fans , but guess was mistaking

Sulley Muntari (yes, the one you're thinking of, he's just 33 y/o) is on tryout with Deportivo, he could join them soon as he was without a contract and Deportivo had an available spot in ther roster.

Personally, I don't understand this beyond him being friends with Seedorf, maybe Toulalan, Song or Kirchoff, all of them free agents, would be hard to get for them, but there's still people like Mehdi Lacen who I'd pick any day of the week over Muntari right now

I'll be sad to see Malaga go down. Their 12/13 team was one of my favourite teams to watch in recent memory.

I like them aswell. When I started watching La Liga around 2000 they were newly promoted and had Dario Silva and Dely Valdes upfront. De Los Santos in midfield is another name I remember from that period. They had a good run in the Uefa cup one of those seasons.

Their team isn't that bad when you look at it....experienced players like Roberto Rosales, Luiz Hernandez at the back and you'd think upfront they'd be enough with Diego Rolan and Borja Baston.

Kameni was never adequately replaced though (would've always have a wonder game a season against Barca/Madrid) and young talents like Penaranda and Juanpi haven't really kicked on.

Edt: Just seen they've signed Maxime Lestienne on loan aswell. He impressed me playing on loan for PSV couple of years back.

Bilbao 0-0 FT against Las Palmas. Maybe Las Palmas could stay up in the end. They seem to be on their way up recently.

Bilbao are so underwhelming for all the talent they have.

Spine of Kepa-Inigo-Martinez-Raul Garcia- Williams-Aduriz should be pushing for Europa league qualification again.

Such a shame really. Get Biesla back in.

That football they played the season he was there really was sex on a stick, shame Atletico murdered them in the Europa final but you can't have everything.

Speaking of Simeone's mob.....1-0 niling it again. Is it 2013 again?!

They just aren't scoring goals. It means they have to defend well every single game. Until they get that right they will continue to struggle. They know that is the problem as well. Losing Iker Muniain for the season has not helped as he is good for a goal now and again.

Aduriz is probably a bit old now so needs to be rotated more after his golden last few seasons.

I assume Willams potential has flatlined. Was getting linked to Liverpool last season.

Williams has been a real disappointment. There is so much talent there and flair. He has signed a nice contract and really needs to pull his finger out to deserve it. They do rely on Aduriz and he is usually on the bench in away games, but then unless Garcia scores there is no goal threat. Not sure what they can do about it.

It might be that this season is just written off. Next season they will be used to a new manager and hopefully everyone is back fighting fit.

I just saw they won 1-0 with a goal 40 seconds into the game, wanted to see the stats for "curiosity"

Atletico: 1 goal, 4 shots, 1 shot on goal, Oblak 3 saves
Malaga: 0 goals, 10 shots, 3 shots on goal, Roberto 0 saves

I'd probably chew nails rather than watch that game :wenger:

Think Griezmann scored in the first minute. Imagine sitting through the rest of the game.

Why would they take any risk to extend the 0-1 in 90 minutes against the worst team in La Liga, who have only scored 14 goals in 23 matches? That would be madness!

 They're 13th? What a shit season they're having.
They have drawn about 10 games, something ridiculous. They cannot score, then have to defend desperately to not lose. It's a problem. Although the teams round them are much the same.
Also it is a new manager and have had quite a few irritating injuries that have caused a lot of disruption.

Real Madrid are so unpredictable this season. The amount in which their performances can differ week on week makes the PSG tie impossible to predict.
