Specially in the USA, as confirmed by stats for 2016.

Dude, stop embarrassing yourself. You like EPL and that's good for you. Enjoy it and leave it at that.

Has La Liga merged with the Mexican league or something?

"Stop embarrassing yourself"

Ironic.

Don't think he realised that La Liga MX is the Mexican league not the Spanish one. It fooled a couple of us as well.

Oh man this is like that time @FCBarca embarassed himself posting links proving how Dani Alves owned Henry in some game despite the exact same link showing Alves didn't even play that game.

What's this meant to prove?

This is the post I was quoting:

Blah, blah, blah, such greatness, such tecnique, such flair, such galactico, such artistry.

Guess what? No one cares. They are to busy watching the PL. Like the rest of the world.

Rest of the world watch what they like and in case of US, more people watch Mexican league then EPL. Shocker, eh?

Good save though. 5/10 would laugh again

1 - I do appreciate the individual top teams and individual players of La Liga. That being said I've seriously tried to watch El Classico a few times and genuinely had to turn it off from pure disgust of the diving, card waving, play acting and childishness.

And how are we suppose to sleep at night if you can't bare to whatch a certain league. The humanity.

2 - No it isn't god's gift to football, but at the same time it isn't this brutish caveman league some like to describe it as. Numbers doesn't lie and if La Liga was so supreme it would be the most popular, simple as.

And no, viewers from Norway isn't representative since the PL has almost a religious following here. But the fact is that we are more representative when it comes to football interest in Europe than Spain is, you guys in Spain like your own league, the rest of Europe outside of Germany likes the PL.

Yes, because spanish teams (includes Real Sociedad, Sevilla, Valencia, Atletico, Villarreal, Malaga, Bilbao), have met foreign teams 53 times in the CL play offs and EL play offs in past 4 years; spanish teams have won 49 times. That is 92.5% of the time. So you are right - Numbers certainly don't lie, and neither does the last years CL winners, EL winners, the semifinals and quarter finals in both tournaments - 'what makes La Liga so supreme'. Nobody is entitled to disallow you having an opinion, but when you base your opinion on 'numbers', and refer those numbers as in 'viewers'; it only brings us back to the original stand point: do you feel better when majority of viewers in country x are following PL? ;)

Are you having a laugh? La Liga is on about 1\3 of PL viewers and you still would like to present more people watching the Mexican league as opposed to the PL in the country with the most Mexican immigrants in the world as some sort of news and confirmation of your point?

You just like me mistook Liga MX for La Liga. No hard feelings, just admit it.

Funny thing is that the table you posted actually confirmed what I claimed and further took away from what you claimed though.

Now he's doing Gerrard shooting from every possible angle trying to save the game.

Yeah, becasue MX stands for Spain. Earth, please open up!

You posted that table to try and prove your point and it just showed how wrong you were.

It's fine, we all make mistakes. You're just making things worse by trying to act like you meant it all along.

Actually anyone who participates in this "my league is the best because more people watch it!!!" debate really shouldn't talk about other people embarassing themselves.

The guy wrote that "All world watches EPL". I posted this to show he's wrong, starting from the big American market.

Then shut the feck up and go to another thread and leave people who want to talk about La Liga in peace.

It's second on the list ahead of the CL.
Are you reading this table upside down?

But it's not first. That's my point. It's not the beginning and the end of football as we know it. You lot are having trouble accepting that fact.

It was a direct reply to a post directely comparing the two leagues and pitting them against each other, and if you can't bother to quote that post and comment on it or the numerous other posts in this thread on the subject then you are further showing the chip on your shoulder.

If China shared a border with USA and had so many legals and illegals cross the border then the Chinese league would be number one. You almost have to look past it.

You're going to defend the league because the team you support plays in it.

But for a lot of people, La Liga is a bore.

How many different winners have you had in the last 20 years (genuine question) ?

Until tv money etc is shared equally and the likes of UEFA stop giving Real Madrid special treatment then La Liga will suffer unless you support Barcelona or Real.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico, Deportivo, Valencia.

Premier League had:

Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Leicester

Try again.

Timely edit.

My initial post was very clear and it was aimed to a comment that was written in a certain context that anyone with IQ higher then his own shoe size can understand. You and few others made a meal out of it for no reason at all.

EDIT:

Wait, there is a reason. One of you actually thought MX stands for Spain / La liga.

It doesn't matter how many people watch the league. A lot will watch because they prefer the style, a lot will have their favourite team there seeing as there are a lot of worldwide brands in Premier League and most of all, a lot of it is just because of superb marketing.

So your table basically shows that America is full of Mexicans?
Congrats I guess.
Another internet argument solved in a timely manner!

Anyway, we have the relative strength of Premier League thread for that shite. This thread is for La Liga so it'd be great if every single 3-0 and higher wins of Real Madrid and Barcelona did not turn this into another chapter of this debacle. Somehow it did not appear last night when City thrashed West Ham 5-0 away from home.

My table is here to help you, because the amount of Energy EPL fans are ready to spend to somehow prove that EPL is the best thing since sliced bread is astonishing, considering it isn't.

Nor when West Ham drew with Liverpool and United away.
As repetitive as this argument gets, I doubt the Copa Del Ray revives this argument as you're trying to with the FA cup

Take this shit to another thread, you morons.

This thread is for those of us who follow La Liga week in, week out.

We don't this league vs league dick measuring contest infesting this thread as well.
