@PedroMendez Those 3p felt beautiful.
Second half was all Sevilla, so the result is not entirely unfair. However, equalising so late, and then also scoring the winner in the 92nd minute felt really sweet, but I do feel for Deportivo.
There were 3 big key moments that helped Sevilla to turn it around. N'Zonzi being Redondo-esque and smashing in 2-1, right after their 2-0, and killing big part of Deportivo's momentum and gave Sevilla energy to believe in a remontada. Second key moment was Vitolo being subbed in, right in the beginning of the second half. With the way Vitolo is playing there is no way Sevilla will manage to keep him after this season. The upcoming summer will be right timing to sell him to a Premier League team, because he is at that peak where he is difference between winning and not winning, and it can't get better than this. I would say Sevilla are extremely dependent on Vitolo and N'Zonzi. Espacially the latter, because we got no player as a back up for that role...
The third key moment was the ref not giving Deportivo a clear penalty. I honestly don't know why Mateu Lahoz and the linesman did us that favour, but as usual you can't get passed one game without a spanish ref having at least one controversial decision. This pen should have been given, and that would have most probably meant 3-1 to Deportivo. And I am not sure if Sevilla would have ended the game with any points after that. We were lucky that Mateu Lahoz finds it stimulating for his ego to act like "a ref that can hold against pressure", despite obvious situations that should been called in favour of the home team.
There áre small rumours of Sevilla trying to get back Bacca. No idea if there is substance in that, but; if possible, I hope Monchi&the board goes all in with getting Bacca back. Sevilla lacks of that true target player, and a striker who is consistence with the goals. Bacca was bit of both, while Vietto is most of the time too weak up front; both in terms of finishing but also in handling the crosses or with the work rate as a target up front. Vietto is still young, and that shows through his weaknesses. Ben yedder has still not established himself, parts of that is due to always come off the bench.
