Could see Atletico winning the title again with how shit Barca and us look at times this season.
Atletico will be kicking themselves for dropping 4 points in games they dominated and should have won.

Mathieu retired from the NT this week, I can't wait to see him retire from football

Aspas was utter trash for us but he has turned it around big time

It's typical of these sides like Celta, Depor, the Basque clubs, their native players have so much passion and pride when they play for them that they seem to go beyond their abilities purely on that mentality of the underdog, the street footballer that sees them give everything and fight for everything. It doesn't always translate so well to the more professional, "clean" environment of PL or bigger clubs in general. I expect something similar with Lucas Pérez at Arsenal this season where he won't reach the same level as last season for Depor, although I think he'll do a lot better than Aspas did at Liverpool.

Sounds like we dodged a bullet with Gomes. Is Messi injured? If yes how much longer? Not great just before the City game, but you would think Barca will be a different proposition in that game.
Messi is due back for the Deportivo game days before the Man City match. Touch and go for that game, if he doesn't make it, wouldn't be surprised if he is only on the bench for City at best.

Have people already forgotten how Celta destroyed them last season?

It's the same how every year people are surprised that Barça can't win (and more often than not, are defeated) at Anoeta, even though it's a streak that's been going on since 2011.

Perez has already done more at Arsenal in a fortnight than what Aspas did for us in a whole season. I'm glad to see he's turned it around though. I'll never forget that corner of his though .

Barcelona's quality of squad depth is questionable. It's no surprise that they can't keep possession against the high press of the Galicians without Messi, Iniesta & Rakitic. And the Balaidos is a treacherous place to come to.

For Celta, Sisto has played a great half. Good talent who knows how to run past players with the ball.

I know they lost the same fixture last year, but it's a bit odd being humiliated like that again. Watched Atletico roll them over 4-0 couple of weeks ago at the same place.

Mathieu is very poor, Busquets is also not having one of his best games.

I'm sure he was decent in his first season?

Started his career as a "winger" at ended up as a LB/CB because he had the body to cover that zone, now that he's slower his tactical blunders are exposed, this will only get worse as time passes, to the point of being a tragedy for us

To be fair, last season's game was completely crazy... could've easily finished 6-6 or something like that. But then Celta had Nolito, Orellana and Augusto Fernández and it was also a full-strength Barça including Messi, Iniesta, Mascherano, Dani Alves. Unlike this rather makeshift version.

Was just about to post this. Let's see where those guys are who always post this crap.

They're writing a new post: "Last results prove that Barcelona and Madrid have lost their level, dropping points against teams they used to crush. That means EPL enlarges the gap as the top league while La Liga appears to be in regression"

Yeah was a great game, but then again Celta made a great start to the season last year. This year they have been a bit underwhelming. Barca are missing 4 key players, but even with Arda, Gomez, etc should at least put a fair fight.

Celta struggled some games against teams parking the bus trying to counter their direct approach, they still had that weapon, and it still is Barcelona's counter

Aye, rather not rush him and risk it. He'll be more important later on in the season anyway. But yeah, he really does propel Barca to another level.

Those who think Suarez/Neymar are anywhere near his level are deluding themselves. I suppose that's why he's in the GOAT discussions, & they're not.

edit: I hope Suarez/Neymar don't combine to score 4 now
