La Liga - 2014/15

Navas you beast!
 What a shambles. I know he is much better than he has been today but he has not inspired much confidence at all. In his defence he has not been getting regular games but that is one of the problems with our current policy of rotating goalkeepers. Bad back-pass by James it has to be said.

It was the second horrible backpass from James in this half. He's been a bit shit. Ronaldo non existent aswell.

Wasn't Navas fault at all tbh, he has been pretty solid.

Bale doing a Ronaldo and taking 5 steps back for the free-kick?

What a copy cat! What next? Going out with Irina Shayk?

Bale's been doing that even when he was at Tottenham. Models his game on Ronaldo. In fairness though, he's a better free kick taker.

They can create chances even when playing poorly. The advantages of fielding a £400m first team I guess.

That's rich coming from a Chelsea supporter. Same goes for United tbh. We spent enough to look remotely close to what they are producing.

It's always pretty funny seeing them both line up for a free kick side by side.

Bale has been brilliant though, really looking up for it.

I would have to see it again but it looked to me like he played James into pressure. He parried one shot out for a corner which I think he should have done better with and there was another save that he made that he did not get good distance in and as a result he ended up playing the ball in front of goal which thankfully a defender dealt with.

Yeah, I'll give you that.

He made a fantastic save just before the goal though.

About time they ditched Busquets for good now too. Never rated him, like Pique shined in a great side who rarely conceeded possession, never been a holding midfielder and it's absoloutley laughable people had the audaciety to say he's the best in his role.

The rumour circuit says Busquets has pubalgia and they went through the "conservative care" thing last year (rests between games + physio), followed by a longer rest this summer, but it hasn't worked. If that's true then he won't get better without surgery and a few months out. Just a rumour for now, but it fits that vaguely under-powered look he's had for a while.

Pique is still alleged to be enjoying his poker, celebrity (and married) life too much. He did shine in a great team with Puyol reminding him of his job, but he was a top defender for a while. Whether he can be again is anybody's guess.

As for Enrique, I just don't know. He was supposed to have a plan and strong opinions, but his team selections might as well be generated by a pinball machine.

Hardly. There's doing what we've done, then doing what Real have done in the last 15 years. We've yet to break the world transfer record, they've done it three times alone in the past five years. Their front four costs about £60m more than our entire first team!

Not denying what they've spent is still on another planet. But it's still rich for us or Chelsea supporters to point that out.

That's no excuse for making such a horrible backpass. That was Gerrard-esque.
True. I did say it was a bad pass by James too. He should have played it forward, even if that meant booting it into the air. What he did was too risky.

I agree re Pique, for a good two or three years he was fantastic, but their defence in general had it very easy in the all conquering Barcelona side between 2009-2012.

I've no sympathy for Barcelona though, they're an arrogant club and the fact they still think they can field their youth squad and be at a similar level as they were just a couple years ago is laughable.

Lost Valdes and Puyol, seen a huge decline in Alves and Pique, yet refuse to strengthen and go and sign Suarez for silly amounts of money. Unreal.

Perhaps, though I like the recent transfer model we've imposed.

Our club's spendings are proportional to the contents of both our trophy cabinets though.

Nah, probably not even that, we'd need to spend way more.

Brilliant from Kroos, keeper cannot be beaten from there though.

Gerry Armstrong saying the keeper could've done better when Kroos has put that as absolutely in the bottom corner as you could possibly get.

feck sake that was offside. Most Selfish player in the world gets another assist though.

Real could hit another 6 or 7 here. They're going to break loads of scoring records.
