La Liga - 2014/15

He wasn't so much crap as invisible today, last week v Granada he was actually poor (misplacing loads of passes, missing sitters, etc.). But yes certainly his worst game I've seen in which he scored a hat-trick, that's for sure :D

Bueno, 5-1

Yeah, he looked very disinterested, I think his first penalty summed up how lazy he was today. I am not sure he like the idea of this early kick off.

imo what happened was that enrique decided to attack on suarez side, with iniesta and alba providing goals to suarez

who was invisible was xavi, who was supossed to feed messi

Suárez and Pedro have really given a lesson in how NOT to square balls today... what. the. hell. How can a player of that calibre have such terribly inconsistent technique...

What? You haven't watched the first half have you? Xavi was clearly the best player on the pitch, playing so many great passes to put Suárez and Pedro through. Such a clever assist for the 1st goal too. In the 2nd half he's been less involved because Messi finally woke up.

Suárez with his first brace in La Liga! 6-1, very harsh on Cristián Álvarez who keeped a great game.

i saw it, no sound because my wife is asleep -the game started 8 am- and i saw iniesta making all the proper moves

suarez scores after a great assist

BTW, having an in form Suarez alongside an inform Messi should be illegal.

Certainly showing great chemistry even in the early going, has really special potential IMHO. Plus, I think he has the added benefit of making Neymar an even better footballer

Great save from Cristian Álvarez keeps Suárez from his first hat-trick! Again great pass from Messi putting him in.

That was a good watch.

At first I thought the red card for Alves was harsh but probably correct. Silly challenge to make at 5-0 with 10 minutes left. What game does he miss?

Messi and Suarez were excellent second half.

Felt a bit sorry for Rayo. Great showing from Suarez there. Messi doing a Ronaldo in the sense of being invisible and taking a penalty and a tap in (why doesn't he hit all his penalties like the retake?)

What is the point of Pedro? pushed off the ball like a school girl, and when he's through on goal or has a chance to square it he wants more touches than Gary Glitter

I think there are still people here who would give 30-40 milion euros for him.

Eibar Away

his only real star quality was that he was a great finisher, but for the past few years he's been hopeless at that too, so basically what you're left with is a school girl who runs a lot.

Shout out to Pique who's making a long awaited comeback. Been great on both ends these past 2-3 months.

Suarez in 26 games so far: 13 goals and 13 assists. Not bad at all.

Pique still has his lapses in concentration from time to time but no doubt it's his best form in a few seasons, IMO

Barca having 3 of the best 6 players in world football in their attack should be illegal.

CMON Moyesy bring me some money! Oh, look at that: Barca got to bang in some goals after the opposition got a red card.. what a shock..

Oh, look at that: DocRockter didn't watch the game and doesn't have a clue about how attacking Paco Jémez is against every team.

Manucho didn't even start so there's that.. 1-0 Moyes at HT although the keeper gave it to them.. Otherwise Espanyol have been on the ball more.

Great first goal from Gio Dos Santos, and Musacchio heads in to make it 2-0 to Villareal at half time. Can't see them losing from here.

Atletico start with
Moyá; Juanfran, Gimenez, Godín, Siqueira; Tiago, Gabi; Arda, Koke, Fernando Torres y Raúl Garcia.
Vs
Valencia with
Alves; Gayá, Otamendi, Mustafi, Barragán; Enzo Pérez, Javi Fuego, Parejo; Piatti, Feghouli y; Negredo.

Koke back in action.

Window shoppers should note: Villareal have just brought Vietto on at half time.

Celta pull one back, 2-1! Excellent cross from Nolito and diving header by Augusto Fernández.

Celta score in the 49th minute to make it 2-1.

Charles should have been sent off in that little scuffle just before, in my opinion.

4-1, game over. Celta were still quite threatening and having majority of possession at 3-1, but Gerard Moreno scores to seal it (nice sliderule assist by Pina)... unlucky Sergio Álvarez, another goal gone through his legs

Nolito playing so well, has really come of age since returning to Spain. Especially last season, but had a blistering start to this one and after the win at Camp Nou it all suddenly fell flat... lately him and Celta have recovered somewhat though.

This Villarreal are a top-5 side though and probably playing the best football in Spain after Barça since the turn of the year.
