La Liga - 2012/2013

Well we didn't do much better through long parts of the season.

The thing is you can get away with it in the league if your offense is good enough but in the CL not being able to keep a clean sheet will hurt you sooner or later.

Yes and we are lucky that the defense is sorted going into the important CL games. Had we still been as fragile as we were earlier against teams like Madrid we would have been badly punished, which Barca were earlier this week.

This is quite worrying for them, since if Milan score one goal, they will need 4 and their defense will have to really be top quality to give them a chance in the second leg.

Toshack summed it up. They have too many players going into their shell hoping for messi to conjure something up.

Yeah it's good that we have sorted out our defensive problems going into the second half of the season.

Barca on the other hand has seems to get weaker the longer the season is going on.

They are also hurt by the fact that there is no one else in the team that manages to contribute a healthy amount of goals, Villa is out of form after his long injury, Sanchez is a complete disappointment, Tello seems to be unable to keep what his talent seemed to promise last season and Pedro seems to slip in and out of form on a game to game basis.

He's had a decent scoring record this season, despite playing so little, not that much of a surprise to me. 7 goals in 9 league starts.

Yeah but he never really seemed to play to the level he did before his injury and hasn't been today but let's see how it goes for him.

On the other hand I think it was madness to play Sanchez ahead of him at any point of the season this year, even an out of form Villa is still miles ahead of Sanchez.

Amazing how big they made the penalty area look then - so precise

Yeah, didn't realize it right away, but once again a move started by Messi... He does that so often, playing a "delayed" one-two like that. Brilliant pass to Tello, great cross back to him and great finish.

Well yeah, but Sevilla defenders helped a lot.

You mean by looking like those metal men that they put up when players practice freekicks? Well, yeah, there is that - but even so, it was neat!

The feck Xavi? Messi right open in space, but he prefers to dribble back into midfield... :wenger:
