Kylian Mbappe | PSG

Good players usually win a yard on their defenders, great players might win two yards on them, Mbappe feels like he's three yards above all the rest, he's a freak, above young Messi in explosive power, and maybe even better than 96/98 Ronaldo.

What do you guys think will happen to his game once he loses that extra 2 or 3 yards on everyone else?. I'm not really sure what to think about that.

He probably hasn't even hit his physical peak yet.

Should be fine.

Think talk of Neymar and Alves telling him he needs to improve on the ball is some sort of a joke. He uses the ball very well.

They are allegedly bullying him behind the scenes and it wouldn't surprise me. Pair of cnuts.

He is 19 years old, he has a lot of time and room for development before thinking about his physical decline.
Exactly, thinking he's not even close to his peak is  for us PSG and France fans, and scary for the others.

Besides he's showed in so many instances, he isn't just about running very fast and dribbling. His game will develop with experience (he's already got so much!!!) and time.
No one can say his improvement will be linear but man the potential is very scary

Even if he barely improves and just streamlines his game a little he will be a top10 and maybe top5 player for 10/15 years.

Amazing talent. Imagine when he’s 22. PSG have got their franchise talent and can afford to offload Neymar and his leech of a father.

Will be only 23 at the next world cup. still could play for another 3 world cups possibly 4. Incredible. Nobody knew who this kid was 2 years ago. Now everyone knows his name.
This is like Ronaldo the phenomenon again. 1996 Ronaldo.

I honestly cannot wait to see him play more central even if playing on the wing allows him more instances of running at defenders. There are players who make you watch certain teams even if you're not fan of said team. Ronaldinho was like that for me at PSG and Barca.
Kylian is like that too for me.

What is Flo waiting for? Get Ceferin on the case right now

Or like Dembélé. I was watching every one of his games at Rennes, his playstyle is even more spectacular than Kyky but I'm a little disappointed to see that his development has stalled a bit since leaving France.

Too many changes with Dembelé I think. Went to Barca too quickly

His decision making is unbelievable.

He's one of the elite players in the world already - not just really good "for his age"

He's come of age this tournament. He really needs to leave PSG if he is to fully realise his potential. He needs to be playing in England or Spain.

Hope he develops further as a player. Football needs new heroes. He was my player of the knock-out stages. Had he scored more or played better in the group, he would have been comfortably the MVP of the tournament.

I didn't think we'd see another Messi/Ronaldo level player for quite some time after they had actually retired (Neymar will never hold a candle to those pair) but it seems like Mbappe proved me wrong, he seems to have the attitude as well as the talent to become one of the best ever.

After 2030?

Can’t believe people thought Rashford was anywhere near his level.

Mbappe is world class. There isn’t many players I’d take ahead of him.

Correct me if I’m wrong but psg have him only on loan with an buy option? Or am I way out now?:nervous:

Honestly I'm one of those who came out with that sorta daft stuff. Happy to admit I was maybe a little mistaken!

Mbappe is really special. The disguise on the shot he scored from was so clever. You gotta really believe in your talent to perform in a World Cup final with a £166 mil price tag on your head at 19 years old. With his speed and shooting ability he's the perfect outlet for Deschamps' counter attacking approach.

Respect for admitting

Heir to Ronaldo Luis Nazário de Lima.

Apart from the pace and becoming a fantastic player at such a young age I feel like they are not alike.

Young Ronaldo was one of the best dribblers in the history of the game - sometimes simple stuff, like how he perfected taking his first touch on the heel to leave players, and sometimes he'd knit together a cocktail of several tricks to get out of a complicated situation. Always insisting on rounding the keeper as well... I still don't get how this guy was possible!

Yep he looked insanely talented, he still is. I'd love us to throw 80m at Barca and have him on our right wing.

The slow style just doesn't suit him at Barca.

Total goals at the age of 19 years and six months.

Lionel Messi: 14
Cristiano Ronaldo: 13

Mbappe: 56

I really, really wish people would stop saying this or comparing him to Ronaldo, who was levels above Mbappe to the point where it belittles a very good player in his own right to be mentioned in the same breath for no good reason.

Up until injuries took hold, Ronaldo was unplayable, Mbappe, for as good as he is in spurts, is not and the hype is ahead of the player.

For Mbappe to be what Ronaldo was, at the same age, he'd need to be better at everything, except his maturity, than he is: technique, dribbling, shooting, vision. The list goes on. I don't thing there's a single facet he is a match for Ronaldo of 19 at, and that's no slight on Mbappe as Ronaldo, alongside Maradona and Pelè are a mile ahead of any other teenage attacker because they were essentially complete in their technical development before even being 20 years old, which is freakish in the extreme.

Mbappe has the world ahead of him, but he's not nearly the finished article, and if what he is right now is the apex for him, then he's a distance away from being in the company of Ronaldo.

The player is a shining light at a time when not many with the raw tools to be challenging for the best player in the world once Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are done, are emerging, but the OTT stuff, like these Ronaldo comparisons do nothing but have the player dragged into a mire that is completely unnecessary.
