Interesting way around FFP. I wonder how far ahead you could agree to make the payment? Could they sign 5 players at 150 million each and pay over the next 5 years whilst "loaning" them in the mean time?
For FFP I think transfers and wages are automatically amortized even if they were paid in one go or a couple of installments. Loan makes it possible for them to only include wages without including transfer fee, which is crucial because from the reports his wage is small compared to his fee.

PSG going for the loopholes to get Mbappe this summer then. According to one journo this loan to buy option will save them €36m in the next FFP period

PSG killed the reason behind the FFP rule with such a twist around it. They proved that all talking about FFP is useless and the rules have many holes that the clubs can twist around.

€180m, that's close to Neymar money for a kid that has 1 season under his belt. Crazy.

PSG has now showed its full arsenal of weapons. Impossible to compete with really. That money is not even a fraction of the interest they earn on a year from that oil fund. They could buy Messi a hundred times and it wouldn't even make a daily fluctuation on that money. Current net worth is €280,545,360,529. How can any club compete with that?

The boring thing is that a whole generation of amazing players with just play backyard football and never get to compete at the highest stage. Watching a CL game here and there is CRAP.

From where did you get that number ?

Soon they'll find out it takes more than just signing top class forwards to win the champions league, its called tactics.

I think they are making plans to lure guardiola to their club when he's done with city.

Yup. Transfer fee will kick in from next year, so they have more time to increase revenue to avoid breaching FFP. Fantastic job all around by PSG creating the conditions to get Neymar and Mbappé without(probably) breaching FFP

These arguments about boyhood clubs and posters in the room needs to stop now, When you play its all about the money.

Very ratty for Mbappe. I think it gets disguised a bit by the British media because the scene isn't set in our country. Moving from Monaco to PSG, after the former gave the platform for him to thrive on is a massive slap in the face.

I doubt he'll ever be worth that money. Spending that amount after one good season - crazy.

There's no special rivalry between Monaco and PSG and many players moved from ASM to Paris in past.

Like another poster said I can definitely seeing Pep going to PSG after City. Typical move from him.

I agree with the overall point but Mbappe dreaming of Real was Marca doing a Marca. The photo of him having a bunch of posters of Ronaldo showed he was a fan of Ronaldo. There's a lot more chance that he's dreamed of playing for the city of his birth rather than a foreign club.

They should just buy Mbappe for 30m and have Qatar Airways sponsor Monaco training kits for 150m. Problem? No problem.

Mbappe is going to be paid more than Suarez, Ibrahimovic, Pogba, etc, at age 18. To be fair, if I was in his position, there's no way I'm turning that offer down. Money talks.

Anybody who has an issue with Mbappe earning that money is just naive, we all would do the same. The shame goes on PSG who are completely devaluing the market. The kid is going to walk in and make more money than almost anybody else on his side when he's barely been a professional. I think he's a good kid, and even though he might struggle a bit at first or maybe his whole first season, he's going to get past this and go far but there's always that risk that this is too much, too soon, and we've seen plenty of talented players never realize their potential because of that. He's one of the biggest French young talent, and I'll be upset if this PSG deal derails his progress, especially since I'm not so sure they'll use him correctly in their set up.

Deschamps said he wont release any one for transfer business so either the contract is signed or Mbappe as unlikely as it sounds stays!
