Kobbie Mainoo (out)

Still think Bruno & Mainoo would provide a better balance of midfielders with a back 3 than Ugarte & Bruno.

It provides us more control over the ball and let the CB's take over most defensive duties.

Honestly, there's not a single player I wouldn't sell from these group of cnuts.

There must be a cap on wages. No exceptions, unless we unearth the next Messi. If he's demanding the sort of wage you'd expect a top PL player to earn, then show him the door.

The best player we have is Bruno, by a mile. Everyone else should be seen as an asset we can sell. Mainoo is decent for his age, but certainly not nailed on to become world class or anything of the sort. He's been pretty mediocre all season tbh.

Teams would go through us for fun, even more than now. Where's the defensive work coming in from those two?

I think Bruno offers his share defensively tbf, but Mainoo is a total passenger. Unless we revert back to a 3 man midfield I can't see where Mainoo fits anymore.

“saw it on reddit”

so it must be true. Quick, let me run off to redcafe to create more toxicity about our injured player supposedly “holding the club to ransom”!
Something something…. Mercenary…. Something something… stealing a living…. Something something… nobody bigger than the club… something something….;)

Ridiculous statement.

Martinez, deLigt, Yoro, Mazraoui, Dorgu, Bruno, Kobbie, Ugarte, Amad, Garnacho, Hojlund, Zirkzee.

I’d think twice about Maguire too.
You wouldn't sell Hojlund or Zirkzee? Or Garnacho?

If he's demanding such wages on the back of his performances this season, we should be looking to get rid of him.

When academy graduates begin taking the piss, it's always far worse.

My guess is that this is coming out to change the narrative to 'Mainoo's asking for too much money' ahead of a probable sale; makes it more palatable. I love the lad but yeah, I don't think he fits into this system :(

Martinez has started missing far too many games through injuries so I'm sure considering his sale isn't that wild idea.

Martinez is too injury prone, needs to go.
Hojlund is absolutely out of his depth, sell as quick as possible.
Maguire should've been sold 2+ years ago.
Kobbie reportedly wanting big wages could be a problem.

The rest will stay.

I think there is more to come from Rasmus and Josh, especially as the latter is still in his first year here. If people stop wanting him to be a prolific #9 and see him for what he is, I think he can do very well here.

Rasmus should get another year to work with Amorim and see if he can become the striker we need. His strengths match to the way Amorim wants to play so he could become Gyokeres-esque with the right coaching. He should never have been signed for the main striker role, he is too young and raw. He has potential but that was a mistake by Murtough and ETH.

Oddly I’d be most inclined to sell Garnacho if the three mentioned, even though he’s the one who’s shown the most up to now.
I’m confident he will become very good, if not world class in the right team but huge question mark over where and how he fits into this set up, and starting to have doubts about his mentality. He’s seeming to go a bit Ronaldo before he’s achieved the things Ronaldo has done.

Kobbie doesn’t strike me as the sort who would demand huge wages. I take these reports (from Reddit!) with huge shiny buckets of salt.

asking for 180k is fine in my view, he's an established international now and rashford is on maybe double that here

we'll probably offer around 100 and agree somewhere in the middle

Fingers crossed, I hope we keep him and he can rekindle his first season form and keep injury free.

I'd sell all of them if the price was right. Obviously, it would never happen but my point is none of our players are indispensable.

We should think very seriously about selling Martinez, Mainoo, Højlund, and Zirkzee if any reasonable offers came in.

Pragmatically we need to make prudent additions to a core of players we already have. Hopefully Amorim has well assessed the squad and we can make vast improvements next season.

I love Kobbie, but Amad has shown more than him, so he should count himself lucky to get parity with him.

But on the other hand, Chelsea or Arsenal would probably gladly offer him 150k/week. So we're kind of fecked.

We aren't fecked. If it doesn't meet our valuation, then we sell him.

What does this even mean? Why would a midfield three be better if one of them is a total passenger? What midfield three configuration we would be reverting back to that Mainoo has shown he is more suitable for?

He is quite obviously not shy of doing his defensive work, and whether we play with a two or a three in midfield is unlikely to be particularly important to Mainoo's suitability. We have also played with a three for the past four or five games
