Yet we need specialists for this formation and he doesn't have a specialist role.Well good. He's a midfielder. That's the idea.

I agree although I think Amorim should just play one 10 (Bruno) and Mainoo can be his cover this season. Zirkzee/Hojlund up top, overlapping WBs, play a bit more simple and put the ball into the box, give Bruno more freedom as a temporary measure to get us through to summer.I think, Mainoo should be coached to be our star #10 (one of two in Amorim's system) and gradually eased into that role, without putting the kind of pressures on him that we have put on him last season playing him every game. Expectation is that Bruno will eventually need to depart, but for the time being Mainoo can play alongside him. It may be great if Garna-Mainoo become the two-tens partnership. They had one great game playing that way. It is still unclear if Garna can excel in that position, however, but Mainoo should
We need to bring proper ball-winning partner alomgside Ugarte. Maybe Morten Frendrup. Bruno proved to be horrible in that position, and Mainoo's talents seem wasted there as well.
That is a good idea, except Amorim (and Erik before him) seem to be allergic to not playing Bruno 90 minutes of every game. To be fair, on the rare occasions when he didn't play we sucked ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I agree although I think Amorim should just play one 10 (Bruno) and Mainoo can be his cover this season. This might be giving Amorim too much patience given the lack of cohesion that we have seen, but I would like to see what he can do with a pre season and a good partner to Ugarte. That set up of two ball winners/runners behind a more mobile, technical front 3 + attacking WBs I like the idea of.
Shit. It’s been reported he’s out for a few weeks with a injury
Double shit. For the love of guru nanak.
Ugarte and Collyer also doubts for spurs
Bruno likely (if all three out) as we have options at 10So who'll start then? Casemiro?![]()
Yea but who's his partner?Bruno likely (if all three out) as we have options at 10
Feck sake. Two major injuries this season. Talk about a second season syndrome from hell
