Klopp Confirmed Liverpool Manager

I am cringing a little thinking how the loss of composure and sense of reality of some posters on here must be comedy gold for the guys over at RAWK.
Then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Don't let hard facts get in the way of your judgement. On top of all of this, Klopp managed with Dortmund what other German clubs apart from Bayern have failed at for years...make them a force to be reckoned with in the Champions League at a budget far smaller than the likes of Juve, Barca, Real, Arsenal or Chelsea.

This will be even more sweeter once he leaves Liverpool for United in couple of years time.

According to experts on the forum, Klopp's already damaged reputation will have faded away to nothing because he'll utterly fail at Pool. I can't see United will ever appoint a failed and massively overrated manager.

Reading this thread also makes me realise that as United fans we should stand tall and pround and ooze confidence about our own success. That sends out a far more powerful message than wanting others to fail, which is just as pitiful in football as it is in real life.

We as a club are in a better place than we have been in years, the signs are overwhelmingly positive. Heads up lads!

You ok Monty?

All depends how fast he can turn things around with the current players. Klopp is a great manager, no doubt, but it will take time and new players to have it "his way". Or to instill his philosophy, as we say at United.

I personally expected him to take over a bigger challenge, a true top team. But for Liverpool it's a good appointment, no doubt

Klopp is a top manager though he has made a habit of messing about in his final seasons with a club so far. The manager is not the only problem at scouse central so I dont expect a major turnaround this season.

Is it bollocks. It's one of the highlights of supporting a team

Doesn't matter how good a manager he is, a polished turd is still a turd.

Klopp is a good manager but I doubt he will make the title candidates over night. If they can challenge for the PL in the next couple of years will depend on how well their young players develop more than anything Klopp's tactical concept will do for them. I think he would have been a great manager for us IF we wanted to keep going with fast paced attacking football but the board was intend to switch to a more Barca-like, possession orientated style of football and for that Klopp would have never been an option anyways.

I honestly dont think Klopp can lift them to that next level. He may get them a better standard of player but theres just so much more competition in the PL than in Germany with essentially three teams who can spend like Bayern and another one who would if they had a different manager. He will make them more competitive but if the dippers think he will lead them to Shanklytown they are going to be disappointed. The biggest factor is still John Henry and his moneyball.

I think that was less about what approach the board wanted and far more about what the only available top manager you could hire wanted.

The heck is this come from. Glazers and Ed don't fecking care how we play as long as we actually win some shit. We don't have DoF, the direction of United purely depend on manager, we play how he wants us to play.

United hired Moyes for FFS, I dont think anyone within the board found his dinosaur football at Everton was joy to watch.

It`s not that I think Klopp is a magician who could turn each team into a CL contender. Liverpool have some potential among their ranks and I am afraid Klopp is the perfect man to streamline this potential and improve them where needed.

I think it'd be a very strange move for Klopp. If it doesn't work out it'll ruin his reputation. He could of waited around for the likes of Chelsea, who have a better squad and better finances, Bayern, or Madrid.

Why is it taking so long if everything is already settled? Maybe Klopp isn't happy with their moneyball strategy?

Looking forward to watching his team play on a more consistent basis. Confession time: the first Borussia Dortmund game under Jurgen Klopp I watched was the 2013 Champions League semi final first leg when they smashed Real Madrid 4-1. That game was beautiful.

Something else, excuse me if it was already discussed somewhere else, I'm a poor German: Is RAWK really the "best" Liverpool forum? I just had a look in order to see what they think about Klopp, and now I'm really confused.

I'm asking because it is so ... unstructured, if you know what I mean. There are so few recent topics, right? But then there are really huge threads, I mean one with 85,000 replies?? Am I missing something? Do I need to become a member to see the real thing?
It's not the best by any stretch, just the busiest.

Jurgenna Flopp with the expectation of a title winning side, saddled down with the resources of a mid-table club.

As lots of posters have said already, that the BPL will be such a hard nut to crack, it's not the early 90s anymore where the dippers had a huge fear factor from their glory years.

He'll turn Liverpool into a top four team again. However, I think he'll find the initial two seasons vastly more difficult than any other season he's been through bar the last one.

Good move by 'pool. Their best signing in a while.

Has it been officially confirmed yet?

How is it not ambitious to try to get Liverpool back to the top? Seems like a pretty challenging task to me. Certainly more so than winning trophies with Barca, Real or Bayern. I think he wants to do something special and is not that bothered about the lack of reflected starlight from his employer.

Klop doesn't want a big team for the so called challenge.

All he wants is a team that can fail to achieve anything, while avoiding the criticism.

As mentioned some pages earlier, I would expect him to try again some signings he wasn't able to do at Dortmund as those youngsters wanted more game time than he was able to offer them, like Julian Brandt or Leon Goretzka.

As for Dortmund players potentially following him, the only one I could see open for this is Neven Subotic. He and Klopp have been very close for years, and Neven was very open that one day, he'd like to play in the EPL. He hasn't reached his best after his long injury though and therefore it's unclear if Klopp trusts him enough to bring him on board.
Good point. Just BTW: Why didn't Neven play vs Bayern? Instead Tuchel rather played Bender out of position.

And what about Sven Bender? Apart from the Bayern match he's benched since Weigel's arrival. Once Sahin's back, he might slip even further. Bender looks perfectly build for the EPL. He could be a nice backbone for Klopp's new team.

Unfortunately they're also touting he may be forced to keep Driscoll and GMac. Hope FSG aren't looking to scupper this. :(

If I was a Liverpool fan I'd be hoping the board are sensible enough to recognise that if you're going to ask a great driver to race your car for you, you're going to have to remove all the safety features that might offer insurance but certainly limit your performance.

If this so called committee disagree with his targets and overrule him you're going to have problems. Similarly, if he wants to hand pick his team of people that know him and his system, you need to let him. Having a few yes men in there who don't know how to coach his game is pointless.
