Kevin De Bruyne

Could have signed. Did we even try? This kind of miss is why we are where we are in relation to the very best.

Take him out of their team and they won't look half as good. Even more important to them than Pogba is to us.

He just bulldozes through an oppositions midfield when he's full sprint.

Unreal player.

I’ve only had this game on in the background but every time I’ve given it any notice DeBruyne is playing some sort of worldie pass and finding his man. He’s right footed right? Because left or right he is just pinging them everywhere.

Amazing player, and totally unique. Best player in this league.

van Gaal didn't know players existed outside of those he either worked with or spotted putting in a decent performance at the WC.

De Bruyne would have signed for us that season if we tried, even if Mourinho was hired the next -- but we never tried cause we had a world beater in Memphis.

Incredible player. His passing range & vision is sensational.

Is taken out in a tackle that looks truly horrible. 1 minute later he is in full sprint and makes the net look like an icecream cone.

He's from another planet.

Chelsea selling DeBruyne has to be the biggest mistake the club made in the last 10 years

Would you say the same about Silva?

No, KDB is the heart of the team. Against us everything went through KDB, not Silva.

KDB can cover for Silva's absence, but Silva wouldn't be able to cover for KDB's absence.

Brilliant player no doubt about that, also the reason why city are so good.
On another note was that a dive to win the penalty?

Not one of the many cafe folk who are in love with city but feck me that performance today was ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous, he was literally everywhere.

The simple fact is, you cannot call any one player the heart of that team. Likes of Silva, De Bruyne, peak Aguero, Sterling, Sane, even Fernandinho, etc are match winners in their own right. All world class or approaching that level.

You can't compete with a team like that. Our current squad is like a souped up jalopy from the 50s next to City's Rolls Royce.

Weird criticism of LvG, he signed Herrera, Falcao, Di Maria, Martial etc.

The only reason we are not signing players properly anymore is due to lack of plan and due to alternating between managers with complete different styles and trying to copy a galactico approach to sign players. We need a director of football ASAP to properly take care of signings instead of giving free reign to managers.

Basically putting in 9/10 performances every single week. Brilliant player and incredibly consistent.

Is he? He looked like very tired and played a bit crap in the past few games before this one. Silva was the one pulling all the strings.

Herrera was not a good signing for the levels we aim for, Falcao was more Woodward than van Gaal, he sold Di Maria and Martial was the only good signing.

Not going Galactico is the reason we signed so much dross. When we went "galactico", we actually signed some great players like Pogba, Di Maria and perhaps Martial (considering his fee was high for his age). We need to do more of this galactico stuff and hang on to the players rather than selling them in one season (AdM).

Even if De Bruyne and Silva go off injured together they still have Gundogan and Bernardo Silva(the guy who ran the attack for a record breaking attacking Monaco team). They have planned very well. We are being run by amateurs.

He's unbelievable and only getting better under Pep. A joy to watch, wish he played for us.

I haven't seen him look 'a bit crap' at all. He has ran the show every City game i've watched, which is admittedly not all of them this season.

Don't really see how hiring a Director of Football fixes our transfer issues.

We're just held at ransom by every single team.

Onto the topic, KDB, what an amazing player.

I also haven't watched all City games but recently the ones I've watched he's been far from impressive compared to the ones at he start of the season. I'm surprised at the level of praise he's getting but maybe I just didn't catch the right games.

Best midfielder in the world. Put him in any team and every player around him would look twice as good.

Has been head and shoulders above everyone in every match

I will admit that I thought it was idiotic to play in a deeper midfield role. I thought he was too direct to play deeper. I do not know anything
