Kevin De Bruyne

He was pretty crap again until moving out wide. He really is a fabulous crosser though.

Still was poor on the whole for me. City's lack of CM & DM make his job tougher & he influences the flow far too little

Current system doesn't suit him. He is a pure 10 IMO and his best will always come when is given the freedom to play in the hole. Dunno if Pep will allow him to play that role, he seems more geared up towards getting the best out of his wide players.

Chance creating machine. Created a goal for Aguero and the latter should also have put away the cross from kdb at the end.
Exactly. Get him in the final third with nothing to do but make chances and he will feed your forward constantly.

He loses so much energy and power in midfield. Needs to play on the half wing instead of fighting in the middle. His crosses and final balls are so accurate and well drilled.

Fantastic cross for the goal. Joy to watch at times.

He has to play in the middle due to their severe lack of options.
KDB and Sterling is better than Fernando in the middle with KDB out wide.

He's a winger, not a midfielder. Massive threat out wide, easier to stop centrally. Too sloppy in possession & not much of a goal threat to build a team around.

He's been in bad form recently but even when he's not on it, his final ball and crossing is deadly.

He's been the best player in the pitch in just about all 5 games so far in my eyes, certainly not far off. He's not scoring as many from the deeper role but he's completely running games. Not got a bad cross on him either.

He's an outstanding player, still gutted he plays for City and not for us. I do feel sometimes that Guardiola has restricted him though, playing him as a central midfielder rather than an outright #10 means he's not as much of a goal threat.

He's our best player, probably. However, it seems to only have been me who thought he was dreadful v Everton and below average, for his standard anyway, against Bournemouth. He's been excellent since then though.

He's not that good though (or Guardiola isn't getting the best out of him). Feyenoord are dogshit in the CL.

He's been alright, but he's not a better player than Silva, in my opinion. Silva is the glue in that City team. Super player.

De Bruyne's had a couple of poor games so far this season. At least from what I saw anyway.

Always had a hunch he'd end up in CM.

When City bought him I was advocating us buying him to use him there.

He reminds me a lot of Paul Scholes, and it's not just the hair colour.

Mourinho selling him needlessly will probably go down as the biggest blot on his Chelsea CV. It was completely baffling at the time as well as it was a below market deal, considering his age and the fact that he still had two and a half years left on his contract.

Even during his loan spell at Wolfsburg I personally rated him as our best prospect, ahead of Courtois. I was absolutely gutted when we sold him. KdB at the right forward spot of Conte's 3-4-3 would be the stuff dreams are made of, arghhhh .

The thing with KDB is he is so positive on the ball, forever trying to play that killer ball. Even in his bad games where 99% of what he does won't come off, he'll still put 2 on a plate for someone and walk away with an assist or the pass that cuts a team open for an assist. He very rarely plays a negative or sideways pass, constantly makes the brave (sometimes foolhardy) decisions with the ball at his feet. Of course he's got the technique to pull it off.

Heres his highlights v Liverpool, 70% of his attempts didn't come off first half but he still keeps looking to kill teams. Very rarely playing the simple option. Tons of mistakes but always determined to make something happen.

He reminds me of Mkhi. While genuine world class players play for the opening to punish sides, these two constantly try that nutmeg or killer pass even when its highly unlikely to come off.
They'll finally get it done on their 6th attempt rather than a Modric who plays for it and sets the trap throughout the 90

Just saw the highlights of City's game.
Ridiculous player. His final ball is way ahead of anyone in this league.

Nothing new to be honest. Should have much better stats so far. He would be the player i would pick for United if i could choose one from our rivals or the league. Ridiculous player

He's assisting the assist a lot of the time so basic stats only tell part of the story. He'll still get plenty of assists from set pieces this season although he should add a few goals with City so dominant against weaker sides.

He's playing so deep this season though I don't see him getting too many goals. He's almost never ahead of the play or in the box when we're attacking. His workrate has been so impressive this season, he's improved his positioning defensively a lot under Guardiola and is making more tackles and interceptions as a result.

The one player from a rival team I would love to have. He's giving a run for Hazard as the best player in the league. Our team would be world class if we had him instead of Mikhi.

I'd say he is Better than hazard - hazard is merely flashy; de bryune can completely take out 4 defenders with a pass.

They're both very different so its hard to compare. KDB (in particular the new CM KDB) won't put up the numbers of before so probably won't get as many headlines but my God is he brilliant in this role. His defensive work is much improved and sitting deeper he gives us the option of the more direct through ball or ball over the top we haven't had previously.

His balls firstly through to Sane for Raheems firsts, and the one over the top for Kun to cut back for Sterlings second yesterday was exactly the option a deeper KDB brings to City. Of course there is no such thing as pre-assists in football but it was KDB who split the defence for both those goals.

That said if asked to vote best player in the premier league I'd still plump for Hazard.
