Music Kendrick Lamar

Massive Black Hippy fan, but not looking forward to Q's release at all... He's playing it too safe and I think he is the weakest lyrically in Black Hippy. But we'll see how it goes.

Q has the best persona and beat selection though, oh and adlibs.

Probably the most underrated rapper in Black Hippy. The way he murdered Kendrick on Money Trees left me unable to sleep for months.

Some video.

Also, Cilvia is now an EP rather than a mixtape. Still no idea when it's to be released. Imagine we were meant to have both Cilvia and Oxymoron before Christmas?

28th of this month brothers.

Six TDE projects this year. We're about to get Rashad and Q. Ab-Soul and Rock are all but confirmed. SZA will surely release something. Will K-Dot bless us with the sixth release?

Have they dropped the full version Kendrick Beats song or was that just a promo for the ad?

Can't wait for Q's album, TDE will dominate 2014.

I think the other artists will feel overshadowed by Kendrick and the insane coverage he gets and won't want to be Kendrick Lamar & Black Hippy.

Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q have given a few interviews where they were clearly frustrated at being treated like add-ons or afterthoughts to Kendrick and how he is the focus of their interviews. I think it will be better for their careers in the long run to establish their solo careers.

Hmmm, I think they fecked up by not releasing anything last year. Jay Rock especially, he obiliterated Money Trees. I always thought Q had more star potential than Kendrick, we'll see how that goes now but it's funny how the cards fall because they can all outrap Kendrick, it's been proven.

God forbid they break up.

Think they need to stick together as a team, they dominate as a group and can do so individually. They will all 'step out of Kendrick's shadow' with releases.

As it has been said Q is too charismatic to be in Kendrick's shadow

While they are all signed to TDE I don't think the group will split up and I can't see any of them leaving TDE. It would have been a smart move to have released an album as a group not long after Good Kid dropped, all good MC's in there own right but they should as a label and group jumped on that wave. Think they have said that they want to establish themselves as solo artists first before doing a full project together though.

Still waiting for a release from Jay Rock, to me after Kendrick he is the most promising artist in the group.

They did my boy Kendrick dirty at the Grammy's man, feck the Grammy's.

Twitter saying Macklemore won best rap album ahead of Kendrick?!

Anyway he's apparently performing/performed with Imagine Dragons. I want to hear how they sound and if the 2 work well together.

The vote breakdown. Oh God...

Hoping this just puts more fire in Kendrick's belly and he drops another classic.

Most popular artist winning a popularity contest, no shock there. 1% though

The radio success of Macklemore ensures Kendrick didn't stand a chance

This means Q and Soul get Grammy's before Kendrick though I think .

Utter farce. Not taking anything away from Macklemore's album, but GKMC was lightyears ahead of the competition.

Then again, he is in distinguished company. Nas, Ice Cube, et al never won Grammy's.

Don't know about that. Macklemore wouldn't get anywhere near as much radio success with GKMC as they did with the Heist, the likes of Thrift Shop had an insane amount of success.
