purgetastic... roll on the EHRC report and boot them all out

Sun won't be interested in that.
it's been denied in the same way US police denies this shit "chocking is definitely not a tactic or policy"
This is exactly what this was. Starmer just picked anti-semitism as the best issue to oust her on. It's really a signal that Labour are returning entirely to New Labour.I assume it’s probably a Political Marker. That they were waiting for an example case.
Lads it was about the teachers union
Haven't read the article RBL posted, but Amnesty did a piece on US police being trained in Israel.I know how sensitive this is, and appreciate that it’s proven to be wrong... but that’s not anti Semitic. Surely? Stupid and wrong, but not racist.
The Israeli Police are not a race.
It’s probably not worth a pedantic rake over of all that went before. But that’s a really weird angle and conclusion and I know very little about her.
Thankfully for Sir Keir, conflating the actions of Israel with Jews stopped being antisemitic just long enough for him to do it with this story. So basically ,don't say anything about Jews because it is antisemitic.
So basically ,don't say anything about Jews because it is antisemitic. And support a right wing party in Israel.

I thought it was Corbyn’s problem that he wasn't a Trotskyist intent on purging all his impure enemies?
This is my reading of it. Let's be honest, Labour is never going to be re-elected in this country unless it moves sharply to the right. He's allowing himself to bend toward the will of the right wing British media, who are ironically anti semitic (Miliband headlines?).
Rachel Reeves has been on the BBC representing his party on the subject of education for weeks.I can't see what other decision he should have made? He can't stand there and condemn anti-semitism and let something like this slide, completely undermines what he's trying to achieve.
At least he's showing some form of leadership on the issue, something Corbyn never managed to do.

The tories and media didn't give a shit about antisemitism either, until it became a useful stick to beat Labour with. This is a countrywide problem, not just one party's issue. It's a pathetic decision which underlines what we already knew - many in the Labour establishment don't give a shit about antisemitism beyond how they can exploit it for political capital.
Probably Justine Greening.
So you actually think that's anti-semitic?
these feckers were railing on milliband for being a jewish revolutionaryThe tories and media didn't give a shit about antisemitism either, until it became a useful stick to beat Labour with. This is a countrywide problem, not just one party's issue.
I think if you read the article it's certainly implying a theory that there is a connection between a death from the police, and Israel influencing that death. This decision, hasn't been made on just this article alone clearly. This was simply enough to give cause and to clear out.
As some said, she's no real loss as a front bench politician.

Just need to include more sarcastic comments about being 'woke' and you'll be all set.No, apparently he's supposed to do exactly like Corbyn and virtue signal at all times regardless of whether it leads to the worst electoral kicking in party history or not.
She isn't a loss but I'm still failing to see why you'd think it was anti-semitic rather than anti-israel. I don't even think it's anti-israel to be fair as the main point it's calling out is they're using secret service techniques from a country with a poor human rights record. If they'd been trained by Russians i don't think anyone would question the reference as hostile.
I'm not familiar with the author of that article so perhaps there's something there but not that article itself.
It's also not antisemitic to draw cartoons of him with a hooked nose because.. reasons.these feckers were railing on milliband for being a jewish revolutionary

yeah, it's definitely this, not the lack of scandal when someone criticises SA's humans rights abuses, chinas, russias etc.To be honest I'm more interested in why the supposed party of the UK's working class seems to spend more time talking about a foreign country in the middle east than it does about the needs of its own core supporters. Israel does plenty of things wrong, but so do dozens of other countries around the world. So why is it this constant Israel focus from a party that claims not to harbour anti-semitics?
I'm pretty much close to switching.greens about to see a nice membership bump
this was the first excuse not the last straw, the labour party is clearly and willingly purging all aspects of the left in the trot hunt pt.2 and it's going to backfire as it will allow the greens and the lib dems to peel off enough voters that they can't form a majorityIt's not even accurate, it's a conspiracy theory at best. To try to connect the actions that resulted of the death of George Floyd is due to Israeli police training techniques is sly anti-semitism, the death had no relevance to Israel - so why mention it? RLB has had issues when pressed in the past on anti-semitism and her position with Corbyn at Jewish hustings in February. The article isn't the main reason and shouldn't be looked in isolation, i think it's a contribution of a number of issues, and this was the last straw.
