Where's the kids dad? Needs tell him to stay where he is, or at the very least, to stay far away from Mourinho.

Yeah, Like Raiola would be forcing Patrick Kluivert's son to do what he doesn't want to do.
If is talented, normally I''d be happy but we are currently not a team to cater for a young talented flair player who's just making his way.

If Martial goes then we need to replace him with a right sided forward instead of another left sided forward seeing as we have Sanchez, Rashford, Lingard and Gomes all at their best or very capable of playing on the left but literally no one as a right sided forward specialist like Bale, Douglas Costa, Malcolm or Mahrez but Kluivert is NOT the answer seeing as he’s not even the best in that position at Ajax.

Actually his dad thinks his son should stay, but apparently his mother and Raiola have other plans.
Well if that's the case, it's sad. Raiola should be nowhere near that kid.

Yeah Raiola's clients are certainly struggling.

Come on dude, Raiola is a douche and a scumbag but he's clearly a wizard for his clients.

You've completely misunderstood. He's good at earning more money and big moves, but this kid is not ready physically or mentally for such a move and the pressure and scrutiny that comes with it.
A move now would probably do more harm than good. Raiola just sounds like the wrong influence for this particular kid.

Raiola's clients move clubs all the time. For all we know he could be advising Kluviert on moving to a middle-of-the-pack club where he will compete in a better league without having insane expectations. Mkhi had a career path similar to that no? Of course the kid isn't ready to move to Barca or a top club but he's certainly at the age to move to something like a Sevilla/Everton/other club in similar standing in a stronger league than the Dutch one.

We had quite a lot of young prospects who were Raiola clients and moved "too early" and failed (of course you never actually know if staying would have meant succeeding).
But I mean that's up to the player. If you get Raiola as your agent you know what you get.

How is he certainly ready to move to a club like that?

So that's 25k a week - roughly, all for the pleasure of them getting 60% of the transfer fee when he inevitably pushes for a big move. He's a right piece of work old Raiola isn't he.

We would do well to stay away from this guy. That’s his demands when he’s a nobody living off his Dads name. Imagine the demands if he actually became a superstar.

Will look for it but it was why the Pogba transfer was investigated.

and yes then Juve and United were both cleared as both of them were found to have broken no rules.

Wish Raiola would be my agent for any potential salary talks

I thought we were cleared because no such payment was made?

€1.5m gross p.a. doesn't sound that outrageous to me, but demanding 40% of any transfer fee sounds pretty ridiculous. On the other hand with his contract running out and him already having made a bit of a name for himself they have Ajax over a barrell, so they might actually submit to something like that. You gotta wonder why the kid has a contract that runs out when he's 20.

Fifa have a rule for the maximum length of a contract for under 18 year olds. He must still be on his first pro contract.

If they can get anywhere near 15-20 million they should sell him, even with new contract he should tear up the league to get that much money after 40% cut.

Better to cut the ties and develop their other players.

Yeah, I know, it's three years. But as far as I know clubs usually negotiate pre-contracts when the player's 18th birthday is approaching. After all most players don't want to stay on the wages they negotiated in their academy days.

Maybe Ajax have a rule about youngsters contacts?

I'd rather not. Number one reason: Raiola is his agent. Number two reason: He'll be crying out for Barca as soon as he's fulfilling his potential.
Noone seems to rate him that highly so I doubt he'll be dumping us for Barca.

Ajax is already busy for a long time with offers of a new contract, but Raiola keeps them at bay.
Besides that: Ajax have a salary ceiling of 1mil. So he wants to be the best paid player of Ajax after basically his first full year where he didn't even start in the beginning of the season.

Raiola is doing what is best for his client is all. I wish I had someone like him negotiating my salaries.

We rate him at Ajax, but he just basically had his debut season. Being inconsistent. Disappearing in some matches. Now he wants higher wages than all his teammates, some proven older teammates and some more promising and more delivering teammates.

It feels like someone wants to leave, but doesnt want to cut the ties himself. So with demanding ridiculous things, the club will need to cut the ties. Forcing an exit.

I didn't know Ajax manage to keep their wages this low (where do all their transfer profits go then?), that of course makes it a completely different case.

Oh yeah, hell of an agent from that perspective - getting himself stinking rich in the process. There seems to be no middle ground now though, from bosman days where the clubs held all the cards. Now the pendulum has swung fully the other way.

First point still stands. Unless Raiola signs up all the talent in the world, we should avoid any further business with him and entice the players currently with him and us to dump him.

Ajax doesn't have the TV money like clubs have in England. Also sponsor contract are somewhat different :)

To put in in perspective:
TV money:
Ajax : 9,4mio euro's
United: 141mio pounds

Sponsordeals:
Ajax: 29,1mio euro's (in total)
United: 69mio pounds (only shirt and training kit)

But yes, Ajax is doing well financially.

No thanks.

I'd be up for buying him if this was 2013 and Fergie was still in charge.

But it's 2018. We're coming to the end of a season where our attacking players have disappointed, and we're managed by a manager with zero patience for inconsistent young footballers.

At one stage this season people were complaining about Rashford getting undeserved minutes. It's bullshit to say he's shown no patience for inconsistency.

It's also bullshit to pretend we historically showed it, our list of youngsters in then out is quite impressive even in the season you've stated.
