Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

He gave his opinion on a tackle.. So what? I struggle to see, how it was disrespectful to you. It's not like Mourinho or Ferguson was shy of giving their opinion regarding other clubs matters.

He had no right commenting on a game in which his team were not a part of, doesn't matter whether he was asked the question, he could simply have chosen not to comment.

Jose and Fergie would have chosen not to comment, as would the vast majority of football managers the world over, but Klopp being the obsessed cretin that he is couldn't resist a swipe at his old pal Jose.

Forever in United's shadow.

Eh? He could have easily spoken about City without making any references to United outside of acknowledging them as City's last opponents, and he didn't even have to do that.

He was discussing Man City's last game. Watch the presser before commenting. You all sound like a bunch crying kids.

Come off it. If it had been literally any other team in the league that had beaten City, or even just played them, they wouldn't have had even the slightest acknowledgment from Klopp, let alone had him discussing his hypothetical reaction to a tackle from a player that he won't be facing again until at least next season.

You're calling us crying kids when you're in here foaming at the mouth because we've dared take the piss out of your nutjob manager. You're acting as if he hasn't repeatedly brought Manchester United up at any given opportunity. Bore off.

Liverpool supporters - we will continue to have a laugh at Klopp's expense (especially when he gives us so many glorious opportunities to do so). We don't need to justify or explain why we do this, because this is a United forum. :)

Where did we ask for any justification?

Where did we ask for any justification?

Probably where a fair few of you are arguing with United fans and calling them crying kids for finding it funny and a bit bonkers, at a guess.

Oh Penna, you can do whatever the hell you like. :)

I don’t think we’re really looking for justification or an explanation though, it’s more that we’re arguing why there isn’t anything wrong with him answering a question.

It was a really weird way to answer it though, which is the point we're making and what we find funny.

I have never denied that he says some daft things from time to time, as all managers do. I do get annoyed when his quotes get taken out of context on here and he gets ridiculed because of it, even though that might be expected in this thread. You can call him names and do whatever you want, really, but I just get the impression some of you are a bit obsessed with him, and that's something I find funny. Oppo fans are welcome here but if you even remotely reply something along those lines, all you get back is "ooooh the irony of a Liverpool fan commenting such a thing on a United forum". In that same respect (although nothing to do with Klopp), it seems perfectly normal for every United fan and his dog to complain about Mourinho and the way you guys play but when an oppo fan, especially a Liverpool one, dares to criticize United, everyone gets really precious and touchy real fast, which is quite annoying. It's not because I support a different team I can't have an insighful opinion on a rival team, and I even try to word it so it won't be too offensive to some on here.

But of course, laugh all you want, I won't lose a night's sleep over it. I don't see anything wrong with me, or us, trying to defend our manager, especially if it's something minor like this. And again, it's not like I don't understand why you'd laugh at him after his comments about the wind, how he went on about your offside goal and how that lower league team defended against us. If I'm however just trying to argue otherwise on a certain point or even just playing devil's advocate and someone goes "but what about you you're a Liverpool fan on a Utd forum" I simply can't be bothered anymore most times.

As rants go that was pretty good, gave me a chuckle anyway.

A solid 7/10 for the effort.

A peculiar post - nobody is asking for justification. Simply pointing out that Klopp did not go out of his way to discuss Man Utd as many are suggesting in here.

Most people commenting will not have even seen the press conference and instead are reacting to tweets completely devoid of any context. Klopp was actually discussing how Man City have had a fantastic season and how strong Liverpool and Man Utd had to be to beat them.

Okay, let's just dissect this a bit shall we.

Do his quotes get taken out of context? Maybe a little bit, but if you take a look at the top of the page, you are on the leading Manchester United forum. It is perhaps expected that a bit of spin is put on the words of Liverpool's manager for comedic effect by Manchester United fans on a Manchester United forum. However, I don't there's much you can do with context when your manager is talking about Ashley Young making a tackle against a team that was not Liverpool, and before your biggest game of the season, against a team that is not Manchester United.

Are we obsessed with Jurgen Klopp? Not really sure. There's always a level of interest in the Liverpool manager because most United fans see Liverpool as their biggest rivals, regardless of what City are doing. However, when United fans are discussing Klopp as a result of Klopp talking about Manchester United, it's probably not that weird that Manchester United fans are talking about said comments on a Manchester United forum.

Oppo fans are welcome here. They're welcome to come here and discuss a great deal of things. However, issues can arise on this, a Manchester United forum, when they act as appointed guardians of their particular chosen team, calling out Manchester United fans for reacting to comments about Manchester United. There is a stark difference between you arguing with United fans who think, for example, that Klopp is a fraud and a perennial underachiever, and you arguing with United fans who are having a laugh at Klopp once again talking about United in a press conference when the match doesn't involve United.

If Manchester United fans are being negative about Manchester United on a Manchester United forum, they are doing so out of frustration and a desire to see improvements in the team that they support. If oppo fans are being negative about Manchester United on a Manchester United forum then they're more than likely doing it to take the piss or rub salt in the wounds after a recent result. I have seen plenty of insightful opinions, both negative and positive about Manchester United from oppo fans, even Liverpool fans, that have resulted in excellent discussion. Perhaps your comments weren't as insightful as you thought, or perhaps you posted them at a bad time. I'd say immediately following a loss is probably a bad time.

As for the last bit, and I'm not sure if you've noticed, but this is a Manchester United forum. I'm not sure what you expected, when you, a Liverpool fan, signed up for a Manchester United forum, so unless it's an actual serious discussion, I would perhaps wonder a bit more if you should bother responding to what is more than likely a hugely biased piss take. You've even said there that this is "something minor" so maybe you could all act a little less precious when Manchester United fans on a Manchester United forum have a bit of a laugh and find something to yap about when the manager of Manchester United's biggest rivals makes a comment about Manchester United.

Manchester United.

I was losing interest at the end of Wrestlemania and needed something else to occupy me. I hope you don't mind that we think your manager is a fruitloop.

So how many times has Mourinho this season took a dig at Liverpool's players or Klopp when asked a question that isn't related to them?

Manchester United.

Top, top candidate for best post of the year. I can't stop laughing ffs.

Not so absurd when the game in question was one which involved his team's next opponents?
Just as absurd. He could have commented on the game and the intricacies of City's performance therein, but he had to, as often has in the past, get in a little dig at United. Like I said, it just comes across as small time. And he's done it before.

 Liverpool fans desperate attempts to defend Klopp. He is a cnut who is obsessed about ManUtd, talks about ManUtd in a press conference so many times. Talking about results? Fine but talking about ref decisions? Poor refs already have enough attention as it is with the crowd and coaches going wild against them, then we have cnuts like Klopp who talks about them even when his team is not involved.

Given that he's got Brendan style dentures these days, I'd say the thread title is bang out of order (la).

“City had two results which maybe no-one really expected. They are human beings, thank God,” Klopp said.

“We had to play our best and United for sure were lucky. In the first half City could have scored five or six against one of the best teams in the world.

 What an idiot. Did he say how lucky they were with offside goal for them and goal that was disallowed for City?

It's been a strange week, Liverpool and United have actually joined forces to bring Man City down a peg, with Liverpool looking to give the killer blow.

I was actually not hating Liverpool this week because they battered City, but the manager has changed that completely. I'm hoping City batter them now.

It is a tough one. The moment I start to make peace with one of the two sides to go through as lesser evil, I come across some twattish comment from their manager, player or fans and then I think "feck them, hope they lose." Then it repeats with other side.

Wow.. those comments. What's wrong with him? Are those part of his PR team to 'blend in' with Liverpool fans, by randomly 'attacking' United in the press?

Follow your bravery and our record v top sides tank and we'd be down there with Chelsea.
Your record doesn't even touch ours in the big games so God knows why you're an example to follow.
Heres how to get less points...

Seriously? Get your facts straight bro. Here are some cold straight facts for you over the duration of last 2 season, Jose has won 7, Drew 5, 7 losses and Klopp has won 7 Drew 9 lost 3 against their top 6 rivals. That is 4 less loses than you guys. Manchester United scored 20 and Conceded 21 accumulating 26 points in 20 matches. Liverpool scored 35 goals, conceded 26 while accumulating 28 points in 19 games. We have scored more goals and points than you guys and we still have one game to play against Chelsea. Man I suggest before making senseless claims you should check the stats. Over the last two seasons Guardiola and Klopp has the one of the best record against top 6 rivals. After the ridiculous claims you made I don't even feel like replying to your counter because I am sure you are only going to come with even more ridiculous claims.

Yes if you guys would have been brave, you could have been brave you guys could been in champions league, Mourinho didn't have the guts to take game to Sevilla at your own ground. If he was brave he would not have get dominated by Jonjo Shelvey of all people and lost to Newcastle United. If he was brave UTD would have registered more than 1 shot at Anfield. We have beaten city this season although it's no trophy but my point is Liverpool likes to take game to the opposition. Most of the times it work sometimes it doesn't (city,Spurs and OT) but Liverpool has an identity, a playing style which they stick to no matter what. Which brings clarity in terms of goals and signings and what is expected of them.

You have scored 1 goal in 4 league games against us and other one was own goal. You had just 2 shots on target against us at OT and both of them are long range punts.

Also no, Liverpool don't play same way against all the teams. You control possession against most teams but sit back and played on counter against Spurs and City.

Liverpool also drew against Newcastle. We lost not because we weren't brave, we played poorly on that day. There is a big difference.

You lot got done by Swansea, West Brom and you are talking about being brave and all that nonsense.

Why are you combining 2 seasons? Is it like how Spurs were PL champions if you combined 2 seasons?

Last season you had advantage of playing 1 game per week, this season all the clubs had same schedule. It doesn't make any sense to combine 2 seasons. Every season is different.

Well it does if you want to skew the statistics to your advantage. But I'm sure that was not @RedMane's intention, right? You tell'em Maaaaane.

Well I feel like you are being sarcastic here but the reason I did it is because the argument is about the temperament of the team and play style and not the season. It is to point out that our performance against big teams is better than he thinks and also for him to understand Man UTD's big game performance wasn't there last season. Liverpool had best big game performance last year but this season it hasn't been to that level this year. But does that mean you can question big game temperament on one season. Even in season where our big game temperament is questioned we have lost only 3 games to top 6 rivals with one game to go.

I accept man UTD out-witted us at Old Trafford but UTD vs Liverpool isn't the only big game Liverpool plays in the league there are 4 more teams battling it for top 4.

Yes we lost to west brom and Swansea but we didn't lose to Huddersfield, Newcastle or Bristol city and we certainly didn't get knocked out of UCL at our home to Sevilla. All the Man fans were screaming "Where is the fight?" When you lose these games yet it's hard to accept the fact Jose ain't the brave one. Do you know since Dec 2015 Man UTD has net spend of 252 millions , City has net spend of 371 millions and combined net spend of Arsenal, Chelsea,Liverpool and Spurs is 182. Liverpool's net spend is only 5 millions and we are 17 points behind city, you guys spend 252 millions or 247 millions more than us in last two and half seasons and you are 13 points behind them. Lot of fans here don't hold themselves back from saying "City bought the title" but I will say "Man UTD bought 4 points+ game in hand for 252 millions in net spend and also the largest wage bill" my point here isn't to diss man UTD but to show how it's easy to diss other clubs but fans turn blind eye when it comes to their club.

Since Dec 2015, what a random date to select. Again Net spend argument.

What was your post, what did I reply and what the feck is your response. All over the shop.

While I always enjoy a good fachts meltdown, the timing from all the Liverpool fans to focus on crying in this thread while you still have a great chance in the CL is a bit weird.

Surprised he didn't mention our offside goal from 2 seasons ago as the reason we beat City.

Klopp : "City had two results which maybe no-one really expected. They are human beings, thank God."
Pep
: "No, They aren't, Klopp and you don't have to thank me, my child. For it is you Who will knock us out of the league of Champions. But fear not for We both play attractive football."
Kloop&Pep : "Unlike Jose."

And then They went on laughing, praising each other's play style while wishing each other Happy New Year and some shit.
