Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Seriously though, this happens with every single manager the scousers hire without fail. It’s as if it’s a requirement of the Liverpool job to chatter bitter crap about Manchester United.

It is, you can tell by the way they talk about certain issues they have PR steer from day one.

He knows that any opportunity to have a dig at us will be well received by his fan base and in this case the media. It's a win win for him to be fair.

Danilo said this about us too. It's like City think anybody who plays well against against them is playing long balls. Such a precious bunch they are.

Danilo comment was crazy considering our first two goals were just fantastic moves. Seen it at Barca though, guardiolas teams reek of arrogance

Isn't he there to give his opinion about the questions he's asked? I could've sworn that's the point of a press conference.

Players/managers get criticized for dodging answers every so often but when someone actually answers them it's no good either. Boo fecking hoo.

So you are saying you won't have any qualms if Jose says something about an incident that happened in a Mersey side derby that has no relevance to the match that will be played next? This is pure bias by fans and media nothing else. The fact that a question about United was asked in an important game for Pool v City shows how impactful we are even when we are not playing.

Klopp talking about leaving the door open   anybody who doubts progress under mourinho just need to look at how obsessed City and Liverpool are by united again, the more bitterness there is, the better we must be doing.

A Mourinho press conference is literally the last thing on Earth I'd be interested in, so no, it wouldn't bother me at all and I certainly wouldn't care what he has to say about my team. I think it's weird that Utd fans care that much what Klopp says. He's the manager of your main rival, what the feck do you expect from him? Praise?

That criticism was fair in the Old Trafford match but none of our three goals on Saturday was scored with a long ball.

Klopp has such a complex on us, can’t stop mentioning us in a negative light at any given opportunity even if he wasn’t involved in the game.

Probably why he’s a media favourite the buck toothed deluded Scouse Cnut.
Yeah he's a poster boy for the ABU brigade isn't he. No wonder the bitter media love him.

Hope we never hear Mourinho commenting on what happened in a match not involving United.

No, we don't expect him (or any other manager) to comment publicly on another club's matters. If Mou was asked what he thought about West Brom and said they are shit, are horrible to watch for most people, and have made poor managerial appoints that will cost them big time then he's being a dick, him being factually correct doesn't change that.

We're here to just call him a cnut and laugh at his obsession with us. No one's losing sleep over what he said.

To answer your question, it's not a binary world. He has options that fall somewhere between praise and being a cnut.

Nicely put! :D

What did he mean by leaving the door open?

He knows Liverpool fans will like the comment and it was pretty innocent all in all. Whether you think he should refrain from answering such questions is up to yourself of course but the holier than thou attitude from some "how dare a manager comment on a team other than his own" is pretty laughable imo.

What's laughable is that a press conference for one of the biggest, if not the biggest match you've been involved in, in recent years, you're manager decides to take a routine swipe regarding a Manchester United match that had absolutely no impact on him or his team. It's not like Liverpool and United are in a title race or a battle for the top four at this stage. It's quite bizarre.

He was asked a question, and he answered it. Big deal, it's not like he started rambling about United himself.

It’s part of the job, bonu$ payments depends on the crap coming out of his mouth against us.

It's been a strange week, Liverpool and United have actually joined forces to bring Man City down a peg, with Liverpool looking to give the killer blow.

I was actually not hating Liverpool this week because they battered City, but the manager has changed that completely. I'm hoping City batter them now.

He answered it with the intention of taking a swipe at United in a press conference for your biggest match in years. It's utter cringe.

1) He didn’t have to answer it just because the media asked him

2) he wanted to answer it as he’s a bitter Cnut that he couldn’t beat us this season.

3) I actually think it wasn’t a penalty, he got the ball- it was just the end follow through could be labelled as dangerous if you don’t like hard tackles. So it wasn’t ab obvious error which i want your manager commenting on.

4) why can’t klopp stop going on about us, it’s your biggest game for years tomorrow and probably going to a champions league semi final Jurgan so let your hatred and bitterness go, relax.

If you actually watch the press conference, he was asked about the most recent match in our opposition's season. He actually had a lot of praise for Utd which no one has picked up on. Paraphrasing but he said that City could have scored 4 in the first half against a world class team. Not sure where he's wrong to be fair to him.

I thought he spoke quite well about Utd to be honest. He was asked a question and answered it.

Yes if you guys would have been brave, you could have been brave you guys could been in champions league, Mourinho didn't have the guts to take game to Sevilla at your own ground. If he was brave he would not have get dominated by Jonjo Shelvey of all people and lost to Newcastle United. If he was brave UTD would have registered more than 1 shot at Anfield. We have beaten city this season although it's no trophy but my point is Liverpool likes to take game to the opposition. Most of the times it work sometimes it doesn't (city,Spurs and OT) but Liverpool has an identity, a playing style which they stick to no matter what. Which brings clarity in terms of goals and signings and what is expected of them.
Follow your bravery and our record v top sides tank and we'd be down there with Chelsea.
Your record doesn't even touch ours in the big games so God knows why you're an example to follow.
Heres how to get less points...

It's standard practice, you can say whatever you want in private but to comment on other people's affairs negatively in public is seen as being a dick. As I said before, if Mou was asked about West Brom this week in his press conference and he said they're shit, horrible to watch, and have made poor managerial decisions that will cost them big time then he's a dick and I bet the vast majority would think the same.

I think that regardless of what he'd say about West Brom tbf ;)

I'm not sure if you're being "innocent" on purpose or actually failing to grasp why he's being called a tit and laughed at.

Klopp's no mug. He knows fine well that as long as he has regular digs at Utd, and the team earns enough little pats on the back from the media, the Liverpool fans will be happy with him plodding along completely trophyless for years and years. He's also well aware that, just like we were at City, Liverpool were lucky to make it to half-time at Old Trafford only 2-0 down, but obviously that's never brought up because they failed to mount a comeback anyway.

I get why, and you can do whatever you like, he's definitely said some daft things in the past. His every sentence is over-analyzed without any context on here for most of the time though. And I just don't think he's that obsessed with United as most of you would like to believe.

Jesus you guys are obsessed with everything he says. You guys just won an amazing match, and are back at whining about everyone else in a few days.

Eh

Every other press conference he has a dig at us. This threads full of such examples. He’s obsessed.

He’s such a moron. The possible outcomes from this are Mourinho acts the bigger man or they end up crashing out against City which would be a glorious set up for Jose. He just made me a huge City fan for this game.

Whoosh. Delicious irony.

You do realise he's the one talking bout us in the build up to their biggest game of the season...

You mean he was the one asked about Man City’s last game so he answered and was generally very complimentary to United. Only mildly negative thing he said was him saying he would have been unhappy if he wasn’t given the penalty that City weren’t given (which 90% of people are saying was a penalty). You guys just seem to love getting your panties in a twist over nothing, why not watch the press conference instead of just getting upset over one line quoted on here. As I said, generally he was pretty complimentary to United and even called you a world class side if I remember rightly.

Before you get your pitchforks out, does anyone have a transcript of the actual interview, or is this just some random quotes taken out of some context?
