Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Does that include all the 35 yard shots into row Z? When I watch Liverpool that seem to be the makeup of most of your chances.

Technically that is still a shot on goal but yes that's a valid point. According to whoscored 48% of our shots come from outside the penalty area which is a problem. It still comes back to a lack of quality though. During the 13/14 season we had a ridiculous number of touches in the opposition penalty area and scored 101 goals in the process. That's due to having Suarez and Sturridge up top which allowed us to play higher up the pitch obviously.

We don't have the quality in the side any more to push teams back and play our attacking game in their 18 yard box so we end up having more shots from further out. When those long rangers are coming from the likes of Henderson and Lallana it's no surprise that a lot are ending up wide/over.

And thats exactly what it is. If lvg had allowed more outside shooting, we would be higher as well.

Out of the Sunderland game today after suffering from suspected appendicitis.

May be a bit of a loon on the sideline, but get well soon Jurgen.

Not sure this is what FSG had in mind when Klopp demanded that he wanted to pull all the strings at their club.

Won 2 of the last 8 home games
Won 2 of the last 6 away games

They are utterly rubbish.

17 points in 23 games for Klopp.

Carrying on that Dortmund form from his last season there.

Jason de Vos, Canadian pundit who I really like, was ripping Mignolet apart and then said something like 'speaking of players not good enough, there is Sakho.' I still can't believe Liverpool fans think that lump is good.

Taking everything into account with Klopp and whilst he does have a mix bunch of players, it's just proof nobody is guaranteed success in the prem. it's just a different league compared to all others!

How was his first season in charge at Dortmund and the league position? How many years did he take to win the league?

You would think that they at least get trained to defend corners or at the least do something to mitigate it. Wasn't Klopp supposed to be tactically spot on?

He came 7th last season with Dortmund.

Still amazes me they gave him a new contract. Could name 5-6 better keepers in midtable clubs. Butland, Adrian, Fabianski, Forster and few others are twice as good.

I assume they signed him as a long-term back-up. Anything else would be insane. Mignolet gladly took the deal, cause he did not have a choice.

Granted, I've not seen that many Liverpool games this season, but I'm really struggling to see how Klopp has improved them at all. I didn't expect him to get them in the top 4 or anything - their team is so average - but I was expecting to see some kind of hint that they might be a force in the future. Right now they look just as bland and clueless as they did under Rodgers, with the same frailties and flaws being exposed time and time again.

Needs to win the League Cup and give the Europa a proper go. One trophy minimum or it's another write off. Kind of gutted we lost like that but the performance was decent and it's nice to have Coutinho and Sturridge back (for now.)

I think I might give up on football if we lose to Villa on Sunday.
