Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Because we directly asked Sanchez. He said no he wants London. So he went to Arsenal.

Do Liverpool fans really believe this?

He's a footballer making over 100k a week at least. There is nothing stopping him from visiting London when he can. Didn't Owen commute to Stoke in a helicopter and Redknapp travel all the way to Porstmouth by car or am I misremembering? I'm not saying that Sanchez could have lived in London and commuted to Liverpool as that would be insane. Just pointing out that footballers have the means to easily get from Point A to Point B if they so wish

Its not the same as living there and its a fair distance to travel.

I remember the story was that his girlfriend at the time preferred London, they aren't even together now so why would she have so hugely influenced his decision.

He came to us because he got advice from Fabregas and Song, Wenger was and is a much better manager than Rodgers to work under, we were keeping our best players and Liverpool were losing Suarez and we had just won a trophy.

Is it so hard to believe that Sanchez chose us because he felt like we were the better team for his development and one that he could win trophies at?

Looking at how things have turned out since then, he wasn't wrong.

Not saying he didn't think Arsenal wasn't the better club. Just answering that he said no to Liverpool. Not the committee saying no to him.

He threw him on as a striker late in a game they needed a goal. Defenders go forward nearly every single time under those circumstances. I seem to remember Chris Smalling aimlessly running around up top in Germany a few weeks back...

What is it with you and bringing up LVG every time someone has a go at Klopp? There are zillions of other threads to discuss how shite LVG is.

I'm not so sure about that. Sometimes strikers will score more in a worse team because they're the main man so everything is here's towards getting them chances. Look at Bony at City. Playing in a much better team but useless anytime he does play.

He's not first choice though. Plays a few games here and there when Aguero's out so it's hard to build up any kind of momentum. Regardless, Benteke is a pretty good player who's either not being used or being used awfully by Klopp.

I didn't bring up LVG. He wasn't even in my mind tbh  You slagged off Klopp for throwing a defender up front late on when needing a goal. I pointed out it happens all the time and that your own club had only recently done it.

Smalling was our defender. In an effort to score a goal, we pushed him upfront. That happens. What doesnt happen though is putting a defender on just because he is tall. That too for an attacking midfielder (milner)

If he deserves the praise the he got for trashing City, Chelsea etc with Rodgers squad then he must also take blame IMO.

8 points from last 24 points is an horrific record.

Dont you know? He can only be judged in 2021 December.

Liverpool performed fairly well against City/Chelsea last season under Rodgers too.. They are suited to that style of play or the players raise their game for that..
Klopp hasnt really done that much.. The initial excitement has died down..

He still needs to build his own squad, so no point making any judgements yet.. But not exactly looking like a miracle worker at the moment.

Big summer coming up for him, get it wrong, and he'll be as good as gone at some point next season. Their squad is truly awful. In the past they'd have a Suarez or Torres to dig them out but they don't have a single player that comes close to either of them.

He must be wondering how that squad is so bad after all the money Rodgers spent.
He should stop wondering about stuff and start doing a better job as a coach. Liverpool are shockingly poor organised and that's most of the time down to the manager. If defending setpieces is such a massive problem, fecking train it with your team until they get it. Even the average bunch of defenders in his squad should do a lot better.

That's obvious but the idiots still flock to this thread.

Probably what brought you here.

On a more serious note, no manager gets a judgement-free ride I'm afraid. Klopp getting Liverpool almost relegated can't be met with the excuse "but it's not his own squad!". That's just daft.

Liverpool have a poor squad, but the organisation of the team is also poor, and that is down to the manager. The defending is awful.

He's been here for the last three four months and still they look clueless on set pieces and no one forced him to bring Caulker as a striker.

All this he needs his own players thing is fine but these things should've been sorted by now.

Nobody is saying he should be winning the league but he has to do better than this.
They were better before Klopp arrived.

The bit about not judging him just yet goes out of the window if he drags them into a relegation fight. That goes without saying.
He should still be beating teams like Norwich.
But failing to finish in the top 4 or mounting some sort of a title challenge is going to be difficult.

I expect them to be inconsistent and finish 6-7th..
If they finish in the lower half, he will get criticized despite it not being his squad.. but I really dont think that is going to happen.

They also have plenty of injuries at the moment.. So that is a bit of an excuse for the poor current form..

It's what they hold on to in order to rationalise that a player would prefer to play under Wenger at Arsenal than at Liverpool under Rodgers. They offered Sanchez more money too which makes it an even more obsurd theory.

I wonder if the deluded twat still thinks he can will the league "for sure" within 2 and a half years with this shower of shite.

...

Shows how quickly things can be turned around with the right man in charge.

Feck all this "2-3 seasons" bullshit that Van Gaal has conned us into believing.

How did you manage to dig that out in this huge thread? very sad of you, get a life.

It's not at all difficult to go through someone's individual posts. It's not as if he'd have trawled through the entire thread.
