Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

If we tried to be over the top and playfully guess at his next excuse we couldn't be this ridiculous.
If they drop points at West Ham I predict the ballboys will come into play. Or something about the changing rooms
The bad acoustics in the changing room meant the players didn't hear my tactical masterclass at HT correctly.

Wonder when the media will call him out on being a deluded cnut that he obviously is. 'Pulling funny faces on the sidelines' and 'true passion' credit has to end some day surely.

Soton have nothing to play for at this stage... other than transfers.

Liverpool can only blame themselves here for hijacking half their side every Summer. Of course they would try harder in their audition.

Mourinho has an unfair reputation with moaning. Wenger does it more than him and Klopp takes it to a new level.

We'd be behind Utd and Arsenal, miles behind, without those 'counting for extra' points.

Don't even know why I'm taking the bate, but we'd be in the top four with the 'counting for less' points against turd like Burnley and Swansea at home.

We've spent most of the season locked in a top four position, and while I know we've had some key injuries/absences at unfortunate times, there's also been a lot of times where we just haven't looked up for certain games. Go back 4 months or so & top four looks like a certainty while the title looks like an impossibility, so maybe he allowed the team to get somewhat complacent?

Can't blame it all on Lallana/Mane being AWOL. We know the AFCON is a thing, so Klopp either had to adjust or bring in a player in Jan - He did neither, and while the latter might not have been his fault, now what looked like a sure thing is going to be a battle to the last day.

At the start of the season, I would've looked at a 5th to 3rd finish as a solid season, as there's (at least) four teams with better squads than us in the league. But to go from what looked like a guaranteed top four spot a few months back to potentially another Europa league season... Meh.

The man is a massive arsewipe. Give it 3-4yrs and he'll be as vilified in the press as Mourinho (in some media). His bitterness and spite is masked at the moment by his 'persona' but that mask WILL begin to crack in the next couple years and he'll be presented as the bitter, moaning idiot he is.

Good manager, though.

When Klopp joined Liverpool I really liked him and I was annoyed that I'd have to dislike him going forward, but I never knew he'd make it so easy.

The guy is an attention-seeking clown. He really believes it is all about him, turning towards the fans for penalties, screaming and lashing out on the sideline constantly. He thinks it is the Klopp show.

Great motivator, one-dimensional tactical nous. Liverpool worry me a lot less now than they have in the past.

Liverpool are such a nothing club. Even if they get top 4 you know they'll do absolutely nothing noteworthy in the CL.

To be fair, if they don't win it won't really be their fault. West Ham's pitch is the joint third largest in the league.

Every team in the top 10 would be able to make top 4 if they could do that. Is the aunty, uncle, bollocks shit again.

Fair statement, but we'll be spending big again come this summer. And we both know you'll hardly be able to attract the same level of talent as us, don't we?
Sure, but I think it's fairly obvious by now that spending big doesn't equal success or guarantees it.

We all know we'd probably do well to get out of the group stages (IF we even get CL football next year) but getting into the competition repeatedly can elevate our status and eventually make us able to attract better players, I'd hope.

Yeah - it is bollocks. Which is why I'm using it to show how the points vs. top 6 table is equally bollocks. They all count equally in the end.

Actually, I do agree losing Mane was a blow and Liverpool do seem to struggle to score now however, just on their performance, they didn't deserve to win against Southampton whereas to be honest Arsenal looked good against them on Wednesday with the quality of Sanchez proving the difference.

Really, therefore, in my view to suggest Southampton didn't try as hard against Arsenal is Bollox and a bit insulting to Southampton.

Sorry, Jurgen, no sympathy from me.

I was reading this morning that he also reckons ''the gap to Chelsea is not as big as it looks''

It's looks to me like a 14pts gap & Chelsea have also got a game in hand - quite big that, innit?

You're ignoring the wind and dryness of the pitches Liverpool have had to deal with. And the fact that Utd scored an offside goal.

When you consider all that you can surely see Klopp's point.

Do you think Liverpool will be able to manage league and Europe alright next year, to sustain top 4? This ain't a dig either, your posts are usually realistic and grounded for a rival fan.
