Where's all the big Klopp fans gone?
Gone on the endangered species list.Where's all the big Klopp fans gone?
It's not strange at all. Here, on a United forum, anytime anyone associated with Liverpool FC says or does something a bit daft they're bound to be mocked. No need to take it so seriously. It is a little bit strange to see modern football fans mocking Klopp, always with the same argumentation, overrated and all that.
@Dumbstar How can you have been a pain in Utd fans backsides for a decade and a half when Liverpool have not won anything?
He got ripped into by a fellow scouser. He's not level-headed, realistic or good.

We're licking our wounds mate. Our bad run has finally seen us tumble out of the top 4 - probably will be 6th when we kick off against Spurs. Although we will no doubt win or get a spirited draw against them and then lose to Leicester. I'm sensing a pattern.
Spurs next? That'll be a tough 'un.
For whatever reason they don't lose to top 6 teams. Have played 8 matches this season and have only lost once which was to Chelsea during their win streak. Now granted they don't really win either as they are 2W-5D-1L against the top 6 this season. So I can see this being 2-2, hope to be wrong but it's not like Spurs is exactly run people off the pitch, could have easily drew against Boro yesterday, drew at Sunderland, needed Son and Dele to save them in stoppage time in the FA Cup against Wycombe, and had to fight back to get a draw against City.
Yeah it seems that way alright. Their record against the bigger sides is pretty good. It seems to be against the lesser sides that 'park the bus' when they really struggle.

I personally hope Spurs win 3-0. Liverpool are done and dusted then. It will mean we can focus on just overtaking one side. Arsenal or City.yeah but so far thats the games we've done really well in - where teams will generally come at us more. If teams sit in we struggle to break them down. Its a great fixture for everyone else challenging for top 4 - you can't lose. I expect you're hoping for a draw.

What if we draw 1-1 with Watford? Even if we beat them, Liverpool could easily rule out a 2-point league in the following 13 games. It's still extremely competitive.I personally hope Spurs win 3-0. We can run 'what if?' scenarios all day and night. What if we draw 1-1 with Watford? Even if we beat them, Liverpool could easily rule out a 2-point league in the following 13 games. It's still extremely competitive.
If you read this forum in January you would swear a 2 or 3 point gap was impossible to close even then. What if we draw 1-1 with Watford? Even if we beat them, Liverpool could easily rule out a 2-point league in the following 13 games. It's still extremely competitive.
Do you get the impression they are trying to moneyball a team together? I know the Fenway group was responsible for the baseball version but it would be a mistake to try and do it in the premier league. It's going to a dogfight! With Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal & Liverpool all fighting for the 4th spot. After looking at the squad in the summer, my realistic expectation for the club was challenge for Top 4 with a decent Cup run; However, finishing #5 or #6 was looking more 'on par'. I hate to say that I was right (cause I don't want to), but it may have been the right prediction.
We have deficiencies in the squad. Anyone who thinks otherwise is blind. And Klopp is a manager with limitations. Any manager at the helm can only motivate and get so much out of you. Ultimately it's the players on the pitch that are running and executing. If we make Top 4 this year, it will be a test for FSG to see how ambitious they are going forward. So far they have spent - but mostly on sub-par average players.

It's a Godsend that we have those games towards the end of the season, it allows us to go on a run where we should gain points and allows things like Chelsea already being champions and are just seeing out the season or Spurs having already qualified for the CL and we've seen how they play when they have nothing left to aim for.
We can approach it like CL games, Arsenal could be in the position that they have to win which would force them to come onto us etc.
It's a huge advantage.
They won't be close to the #1 spot come New Year. Bookmark me.
They are 6 points off
Still, they won't be close to #1 come spring!
I thought he was pretty likeable when he was at Dortmund. But he's become very unlikable since he's been at Liverpool. Behaves like a lunatic.
@Rafateria @Cassady @njred @Dumbstar
When is the "They dared to dream 2016/17" book being released?
Should be a good read
Followed by this one.
SirAF right all along
Yesss! Much appreciated, bro
Have a feeling Spurs might do them at Anfield. It's probably the unlikeliest result, but it honestly wouldn't shock me.
Liverpool have a fantastic record against the top 6, but they rode their luck in the last few. A team who can match them physically could be a nightmare. Even though this is even more of a must not lose- concentration won't come to them as naturally as it did for the Chelsea game because of the unique rivalry. A Draw would be a fantastic result even.
No it's at Anfield. It's at WHL
It's at WHL
Nah it's at Anfield mate just double checked, it was 1-1 at WHL
Read back on those pages of this thread and the Scousers were bullish
This. To be fair not one of them claimed they'll win the title or that Mane will make them a force again or something. Not that I've seen it.
So much so, you signed up to a United forum to discuss it. You definitely give a shit, just like we all do.To be honest I really don't give a shit . Of course I want us to do well but I stopped giving my energy to things I can't control a long time ago.
Saying that...
I love it, the boom is so brief too. Like a bird leaping from a mountain face, brimming with pleasure as soft winds tousle it's feathers. Then it remembers it's an ostrich. There's no daring to dream this year, we are looking at classic Liverpool boom bust cycle here.
