He is perfect tbh. He's tall, 21 years old, regularly been carrying Dortmund's midfield on his own and has shown he can go toe-to-toe against tough CL opposition. He's the real deal when it comes to CM talent.

Broke his ankle less than 2 months ago. I suspect he's bottom of the list no matter how good he is.

Failure of a medical is subject to what the club Is willing to overlook especially with simple injury recoveries like a bone brake.

Perhaps in the minds of the media and papers. In actual reality I would rate the deciding officials smart enough than to waste their time targeting a player who just signed a new contract six months ago and plays for a club, that will call up a stupidious high fee to even consider letting him go.
Out of all current key players at Dortmund Weigl is one if not the hardest to get at the moment.

As for the "list", if such a list exists, it can't be solely based on how desirable the player is, it also has to take into account affordability, willingness to move, willingness of existing club to sell, etc. Still, Dier was never going to be available at any reasonable price given who the chairman is.

Integral? Chelsea fans will tell you otherwise. He was woeful last season and doesn't appear in any list in a good position for tackles, interceptions etc. Yeah he's a busted flush. He was once a good player - albeit a massively overrated one - but feck me, I wouldn't go near him now. Him and Keane were two I didn't want and it's one down one to go. Here's to hoping.

Yes please. Would be my #1 choice because of his potential and his type of player. A proper deep lying playmaker like we need, who can find Pogba in his advanced positions while also being a very smart player. Sure he's injured, but he'd only be out for the first month or 2 of the season I would guess.

Probably slightly but I'll be honest and say he's never a player I've particularly rated. Conversely he's become pretty overrated on here by a select few trying to endorse this transfer.

He played nearly every game and they won the title. He's obviously important and to be honest it'd be a big mistake on Chelsea's part if they sell him to us and replace him with Bakayoko.
Chelsea fans are not serious. They are just like Arsenal fans and their gross under appreciation of Giroud with this Matic case. They idea that Matic had a poor season is not only laughable, but utterly unbacked up by any existing statistics.

Except for the fact that all his so-called defensive stats from last season are thoroughly underwhelming. The difference with Giroud is that Giroud is actually a pretty good / useful player, while Matic is a once good (but overrated player) that is massively on the decline.
I repeat. That is pure myth. His defensive statistics for last season are not poor by any stretch of the imagination. Anyone who believes Matic was poor last season simply confirms they don't understand football. Conte is not a manager who entertains passengers in his starting line up all year long. I can understand not rating Matic. But lying to oneself that he " has been poor" is plain fool hardy.

Anyhow, there's a reason Chelsea fans actively want rid and a reason why Conte wants to upgrade. Those reasons certainly aren't positive reasons, that's for sure. Each to their own and all that lark but I, for one, hope we steer as clear from Matic as humanely possible.
