Jose Mourinho Sack Watch

we matched chelsea's form from november to march. Then lost it a little at end. Chelsea are capable of that but they have stronger competition in spurs liverpool and west ham, especially west ham. I really think they can be a surprise this season.

Last season the run we went on was excellent and once we had top four secured we stopped playing however had Liverpool pushed us I'm sure we would have pushed even harder.

Chelsea need to do a similar run while playing Champions League, it's possible but it's going to be really hard. We had an excuse, the players were adapting to the manager's methods and they knew that, as they improved they gained confidence and this helped them.

These Chelsea players have gone from being the best to a laughing stock, the dynamics are different, they need to pick themselves up and the manager also right now is being ridiculed by everyone, they obviously have an excellent team so top four is possible but that depends on the mentality of both the team and manager, can they perform when they are being ridiculed or will it get to them?

Several papers saying he'll be sacked if he loses to liverpool, could be nonsense but they're all running the story at the same time like they've been briefed.

Deserves to be fired if he loses against this Liverpool team at home..as he showed against Arsenal, Jose is still the man for the biggest occasion. Still hasnt lost a home game against United, City, Liverpool or Arsenal. He hardly even draws them either.

Hope he spanks the scousers.

Does anyone else suspect that Dr. Eva is a witch?

I'd say she's laughing her knickers off at the moment.

Wow. Don't care if he goes but would be great if he could make sure Pool doesn't win before he goes....:(

Can't see them losing against Liverpool though. They aren't that bad.

Watching one of them lose will more than make up for having to watch the other win.

So a draw saves him? At home? Against THIS Liverpool side? I'd say that's rubbish in itself.

And remember we have a draw record to protect. We'll be putting our lives on the line to protect it too. :p

In fact I'd say there's more chance of this being the match that Chelsea spring back into life. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Chelsea fire 3 or 4 past Liverpool and I'd be tempted to put money on it.

He's desperate for the sack it's hilarious. Given up, can't be arsed but doesn't want to resign.

Who would they get in though? Seriously?

Having no top replacement lined up hasn't stopped Roman in the past. He loves his caretaker managers. He could appoint another Grant/Rafa and target Pep in the summer.

I Imagine he stays around until the end of the season then they will look to bring in Simeone would be my bet, whilst Jose goes off to PSG.

no way in hell are Chelsea losing to Stoke, they are woeful this year
Wouldnt be the worst thing to lose to Stoke. Chelsea should get out of the league cup and later on the fa cup.
Focus should be on finishing top 4 in the league and CL round of 16/QF for the money.

That line of thinking is eerily similar to Utd fans under Moyes's.

You want to win matches, any kind, to salvage the morale.

On the contrary, i think mourinho will look at the domestic cups as a chance to salvage anything from a poor season.

Seeing as they've now worked their way through so many they have had to start recycling they could do worse than start leaving breakfasts on Carlos door step.

Does not help if they win at stoke and then lose at home to the dippers. The liverpool game has to be the big focus, fringe players can have a run out in the cup.

Yeah Mourinho will probably do that, wouldnt be the right thing to do though. If you win, dippers could still wreck the confidence in the next game. If you lose then you go into the next game low on confidence anyway.

Showed at home to us? Don't be silly.

Mike Dean won them that game after Costa should have thrown it.

He is trying real hard to get sacked and pocket that 30M+. Barging into Ref's room :lol::lol:

He probably has a clause that says he doesn't get a dime if he is sacked after Chelsea crash out of top 4 and seems eager to escape that one.

I would love to see how he gets out from this situation as firing him seems an easy way out. I don't seem to remember him facing such crisis before in his career.

Hmmm. I wonder who would be interim manager if he is sacked.

Genuine question: How would a season out of the CL affect their finances and future?

I imagine it'd be a pretty heavy blow.

What is it ? ~30m? Won't be too bad.

I thought CL was 60-70m now?

Plus, it seems Chelsea have to finance large expenditures through player sales nowadays, even a 30m hit could be pretty detrimental. There's only Hazard on that team who has big value, and if they were to sell him without CL football, I think they'd struggle to find a player of similar quality.

We are away to Stoke before he host the scousers. If we lose that he might not be in charge against Klopp and co.

That's good. A nice and easy win here to loosen things up. Will soften the blow of a loss to us.

Seriously though - You are facing the world champions of nicking a draw. This will be as high strung a 1-1 as anyone has seen.

I do wonder if this is due to his treatment of John Terry. We all know how much influence he has in the backroom. Has he turned the players against him?

Perhaps a parallel situation is our treatment of Rooney. By keeping him happy we have a happy camp.

Both teams seem very good at conceding from set pieces. I just think Liverpool are more likely to make a defensive mistake on the day. That's why I think Chelsea will shade it.

I doubt a big name would come in until the summer. Perhaps Steve Holland or Adi Viveash?
