Jose Mourinho Sack Watch

I'm curious to see who he(Jose) will get rid of next summer if he manages to hold on to his job,the so called players that have stopped playing for him?

It's obvious he has no idea what to do here - A downward spiral and a job he isn't supposed to be leaving anytime soon.

He's setting a terrible example to his players on how to cope with the pressure of the situation.

I suspect if we get indication from Pep that he will join next summer, Mourinho will be sent packing. I wouldn't mind Ancelotti or for us to go in for Simeone next summer.

If he got sacked it would be interesting to see how sought after he was. Would he walk into another top tier post? Or would his stock take a big hit?

Its interesting to consider, people always say SAF's biggest achievement wasnt getting to the top, but staying there for as long as he did. Mourinho has been at the top for quite a long time now, I wonder if this is the beginning of the end for him?

I still think he will bounce back to be honest.

Haven't City just proved FFP to be a complete load of bollocks? I doubt being out of the CL will affect them much at all.

SAF is Mourinho's idol, I kind of think he trying to be SAF, but has actually become a caricature of SAF. Thinks he can get away with having a go at the officials, his players, everyone, not talking to the press etc, because that's what he thought SAF did, which he didn't.

City have, we haven't. Seems like we are abiding by different rules to every other club.

i agree with this

this downward spiral where top players form all collectively drops is reminiscent of United under Moyes

the only logical way to stop the trend was replace the manager.....hopefully it goes on for a bit though as Mourinho is a deplorable man

he's coming across as an angry, bitter man blaming everyone (FA, players, medical staff) but himself

at least Moyes conducted himself with dignity

He's just having an awful run of results, and his attempts to create a siege mentality aren't working.

Seeing as we are refusing to spend €43 million on Griezmann, I would think that we are taking FFP more seriously then City.
Your Oligarch funded club taking FFP more seriously than City is a world away from "abiding by different rules to every other club".

If its true about the fifty million pound pay off then there have been worse actions in the moral history of mankind than one man cynically engineering his own ouster in order to claim that prize.

I think if he does go then they might appoint an interim manager for the remainder of the season. If not that then perhaps Simeone would most likely be the favourite and ruling out Ancelotti would be foolish.

All this reminds me so hard of his last season with us. Except we weren't doing half as bad than Chelsea are doing right now. I can't see any other option than them splitting ways at the end of the season, or even before, who knows.

There are rumours floating about that we have contacted Jose, which seems a bit ridiculous as we are sitting at the top of the table and doing good in Europe.

It must be some crazy rumour. No way would you be having him back there - especially now when as you say you're sat on top of the table.

Seriously though - You are facing the world champions of nicking a draw. This will be as high strung a 1-1 as anyone has seen.
Does anyone else suspect that Dr. Eva is a witch?

I'd say she's laughing her knickers off at the moment.
It really does seem to stem back from what happened with the doctors.

I feel the dressing room have lost a lot of respect for him, especially in the way he hung them out to dry publicly, and then continued to drag it on instead of apologising and just putting it to bed.

There is also a strong rumour locally that Hazard was having a relationship with Eva, it certainly makes sense why he's been well below par since then and has thrown his toys out the pram. Lots of noise coming from his camp about not being happy with Mourinho and wanting a move to Madrid.

No doubt the fact he tried to alienate Terry also, morale is massively low and a few key players are out of form.
Mourinho is also doing an absolutely horrible job of steadying the ship, and I really do think he has sort of lost it. He actually believes it's Chelsea against the world, when Fergie was the master at pretending.

When winning the league hasn't been enough to save job for Real Madrid managers, when the manager giving the 10th European cup gets fired at end of next season while doing decently, do you think sitting top of the league at this stage means anything? That club is a circus. Will be no surprise at all. FSW must have already bored the shit out of everyone by now anyway.

Sacking this guy for coming second has only been bettered by United appointing 'you know who' on the scale of clusterfecks.

Mourinho said in an Interview with BBC in 2005 that becoming copies of managers is no good. You are not like the original

He is unsure on how to handle a bad situation

Not a big fan of going back to a manager.
I never understood why some fans see that as a problem? We had great 2nd spells with managers we fired at the end of their first. Lattek, Heynckes are obvious examples, but also Trappatoni or Hitzfeld weren't a problem in their 2nd spells. I doubt Ancelotti holds a grudge, he's clearly a fantastic manager, so what's wrong with giving him a 2nd spell?

We gave Mourinho a second spell and he lost his mind.

But that's clearly a Mourinho issue, not a 2nd spell issue.
I'm not too sure if he is what we need either. We need more of personality who won't roll over when the board pull the same trick they did last summer. With Ancelotti, I suspect he will put up with the underinvestment and average players being bought which isn't what we need. We need somebody with a vision that can pull our players together and rebuild the mess Mourinho is leaving. Not sure Ancelotti can handle that.

On the other hand, I do believe his non confrontational attitude is exactly what we need for our public image after Mourinho has dragged our name through the dirt every weekend.

There were posters on here that claimed that Mourinho wasn't the same after Madrid, while I thought that it was psycho b.s it's now apparent that the Madrid experience really took something out of the man. When he came back he had or was on the edge of losing his mind but hid it well and now the hit has been turned on he is seeing enemies everywhere from Eva, the FA all the way to Matic and Wenger. He really should have taken a sabbatical after that fifteen round bout against Iker.

I have no issue with us missing top-4. As long as he remains, couldn't care less about losing Hazard etc. (srs)
