I really like Jose this season. He had a clear transfer plan and, at least in Matic and Lukaku, got two top class players. He looks serious, focused and driven. Whenever he speaks, he speaks well and smart. The team seems to be close with a good spirit.
Why has jose not pushed the club to get a crucial winger in? The more we wait the more expensive it will get to get one. When we lost Di maria it was pretty clear we need another one, and we have neglected mane, got outprized for perisic and dint even try for mahrez again.
And people will complain if lingard comes against big teams because mata surely does not provide that balance who can carry the ball from defense to attack to get to the final third.
When we played vs High pressing proactive teams like real madrid's and barcelona's and many more in ucl its pretty clear we lack that balance and creativity on the right hand side to open up tight defenses via playing on the ground. Rashford playing on the right only provides us with counter attacking speed but not creativity. And i feel MKh plays better at no 10 than as a winger against high pressing teams.
Weather jose passed the opportunity or the club did not back him up with the money is a question.
