And with this he has registered a win over all top clubs. 16 points from big games and we still have Arsenal at Old Trafford.

May the "he's shite in big games" myth lies down forever.

Yeah I agree with you to some extent. But weve now beaten Chelsea, Pool and City with some brilliant performances. We have come far since the Moyes era. Mourinho haa us moving to where we want to be.

Yes we are moving up but not sure Moyes/LVG are good barometers for success. I am content with the results but wish we played well too. The first half performance today is something I fear will happen again. Still he gets credit for the win because I criticize him for the losses as well (even when the players are shit)

Couldn't be happier for him. Half of our plastic fanbase want him out, I bet half the posters here aare now o bluemoon crying their eyes out.

Has done fanstastic rebuilding job so far.

No one and I mean no one not even Fergie would of done better with this squad than Jose.

wow..

wow..

Well, were on target for 85 points and I can see us getting to 89. Use Sir Alex as a barometer and we're as good as most of our past teams.

The team limping and struggling but still finishes second is a team people should be afraid of if it ever gets going for real.

I'd honestly be happy with 80 and we're only 3 wins away from that now (win 50% of our games).

Obviously win as many as we can but still.

If he can inspire that second half, then he's well worth being our manager.

One of the most unlikely turnarounds in a game I've ever seen.

Yeah like I said I am happy with the results it's just the way we play that has me worried.

I wont disgaree. However, I take a lot of confidence from that performance. Three brilliant goals show we're capable of playing good football. Need to up the consistency.

Guaranteed to finish ahead of Liverpool in the big team mini league which is impressive given this forums respective opinions on Klopp and Mourinho's success in big games.

I think around 30% of our fanbase are disappointed that we won, they would have had a field day criticising the manager.

Staggering that there are people who don't want Jose. Absolute low IQ citizens.

How were we terrible?? 20minutes doesnt make a fecking game. Shit post.

Edit: fecking awful post has me tilted.

:lol: You're the biggest Mourinho fanboy.

It was a great come back but I honestly thought we were poor. City had a ton of chances and De Gea bailed us twice towards the end.
We scored 3 goals on 5 shots. It was hardly vintage United.

Credit to him, whatever he said at half time worked and we played with lot of aggression.

Hopefully this gives him more confidence to set up team to attack. When we attacked, we made City look uncomfortable, that's the way it should be.

Anyways, he should get lot of credit for 2 come back wins in 2 away games.

Liverpool scored 3 in 8 but apparently it was a vintage Liverpool display and a masterclass from Klopp.

It's simple Jose, you have attacking players let them attack. Buy new fullbacks, a centre midfielder and maybe a right winger and then no more sitting back ever. Also play Martial more and give Rashford the odd chance up top.

It's more like 50%. They love Pochettino, Klopp, Pep more than their own manager.

I bet half of this forum are actually sad that he managed to win over the genius Pep.

That second half could be an important turning point for him at this club.
I hope it teaches him a lesson that we most always be proactive.

Like seriously, all the usual suspects still whining about Mourinho after a match like today's. You'd have to be a special kind of bitter person to do that.

The problem with Jose, for me, is how he carries himself. He could alleviate a lot of the criticism if he wasn’t such a miserable git all of the time. Him having a different demeanor would complete change both the perception of himself and the team’s progress. Matches like today show he still can get results. He just makes it so hard to view him positively.

Two ridiculous posts and it's posts like this that cause further divide between sets of people that have differing opinions.

You know who Jose Mourinho is right?

Big game bottler, if we had Pochettino or Klopp we would have lost 4-1 or 5-0. That's the type of game we should be aiming for, not this park the bus shite.

They're not proper fans, no united fan has emotional room after such a result to be criticial. Not possible

Big credit today, specially for that incredible 2nd half. My fundamental opinion doesn't change but not praising him today would be some kinda special bitterness

Agreed. I think there needs to be a 4th option in the poll.. not the right fit but clearly side has progressed and he does deserve another season.

Still got it in him to gee a team up when it’s most needed. Sevilla was a blip. Chelsea, Liverpool, City that’s the trend.

He obviously deserves another year.

What’s so frustrating is we were just a performance like today against Sevilla away from a complete different complexion on the season.

That game moved me from 70/30 backing him to 50/50 at best.

No fecking idea how we ended up winning that game, but we did, so he deserves at least some credit.

But we have to start showing up to games from the beginning. We should have been dead and buried after that first half.

He needs to sort out the defence. Pogba etc can't be put into positions where they're recovering sloppy passes against a high press.

Dont bother please.

I've seen the same type of posts over the last two years since he arrived. No matter what he achieves it's either downplayed, or we were shite, or we were lucky, or De Gea saved us.
Trophies aren't important when Mourinho wins them, then it's entertainment, and now we should of got Klopp because he got further in the Cl.

Everything Klopp, Pochettino or Pep achieves get's over glorified and overrated. I've seen people post that they actually feel bad when we win because of Jose.

When some of you understand that he is our best solution for the time being I will stop.

You know who Jose Mourinho is right?

I live in hope that one of the greatest managers of all time (which regardless of the rest of his career he will be) can change his outlook and allow them to attack. He may need to bite the bullet and bring in a specialist coach to help them but it took SAF years to do this in terms of Europe.

See, this is more like it. More of that second half, and less of the first.

Also, hope this puts to bed that our players are certainly not shit as people make it at.

Nailed on for top 4 so he definitely deserves to stay another season.

Hopefully we'll have a title challenge that lasts longer than December next year :P

Credit to him whatever he said at half time worked. Certainly looked like he freed up the team. Actually Pogba has just pretty much confirmed what everyone has been saying. In a 2 he can’t do those runs like he can in a 3.

I wouldnt hold my breath.

This is not me shutting him down, credit where its due for half time part but lets be real, we were 2:0 after 1st half where things could be way way worse, they also had some chances in 2nd before we scored our first.

Regardless of all of that, what i like is that we didnt go full coward Sunday league mode after 2:2/3:2 for us.
