Asking why I was bringing up Messi/Neymar etc wasn't a rhetorical question, and you brought up 5 windows in the previous post not that one. You simply didn't understand.

I never said you need Messi, Neymar and Ronaldo, do you fill every post with strawman arguments?

Mate, you are extremely disingenuous in your argumentation. I can only assume your trolling at this point. The question i said was rhetorical was the "players >> manager" comment you made. I never, ever said that the Messi/Neymar question was rhetorical. I genuinely wanted an answer to that. I mean it's in my fecking comment. Just go back and read it.

And you absolutely implied that you needed players of that ilk to play better football. Christ, it's in your previous comment FFS. The only one strawmanning here is you. It's you who don't understand, not me. You're all over the fecking place.

Read the post I quoted again. Nobody is arguing about money spent, hell the reason we're giving Mourinho stick is exactly because of this reason. He's spent a shitload of money too incase you conveniently want to forget about it. Lukaku and Pogba together cost a whopping 180 million pounds.

Your players >> manager comment is the laughable part really. It's the fact that you think a championship winning team is all the best players and nothing to do with the coach. Do you really think it isn't possible to play good football if you don't have Messi/Neymar/Ronaldo in your team? Tell that to Napoli, Spurs, Monaco,Dortmund and Liverpool who play better football than us and have assembled their teams at a lower wage budget and transfer spend than us.

The fact that you think Enrique is a "bum" coach tells a lot.

Time to use the ignore button

Seriously the best thing to do with this guy. He can't even debate in an honest way.

Is he actually doing a lot of whinging already or are the press just baiting him?!? Sick of reading negative shit every morning and the season hasn't even started yet. Press seem to be trying to drive wedges between him and Pogba and Martial specifically, and keep referencing his traditional "3rd season meltdowns". Somebody cheer me up please!!

People close to the tour said the squad atmosphere is very good.

They all look so miserable don't they?

Such a bad vibe in the camp. All Jose's fault I guess.

Pretty much this. People are too caught up with interviews and pressers - they mean feck all.

It's good that the team spirit is high, but the team spirit at Stoke was probably pretty good when they got relegated.

If we still look like shite on the pitch, what does it matter? He's here to succeed as Man Utd manager and the expectations that come with it.

Although it is brilliant to see proof that the media are shit-stirring when it comes to Jose and the squad.

They have nothing on Rooney singing Yesterday.

There's literally nothing Rooney couldn't do, eh?

Agreed, given that its obvious the press pack hates Mourinho and Mourinho hates the press pack why would we expect happy, smiling pressers anyway? Its obvious he'd rather talk to anyone but journalists. Its also pretty obvious that a lot of the time he just says stuff to get them going.

What s-t? We played well last night against Milan in our third preseason game, against a team that started preseason before us and has more first team players available.

People are constantly glossing over our good performances e.g. Spurs in the FA Cup semi. We're one of two teams in the Premier League that beat everyone in the country last season. City's the other.

France just won the World Cup pretty much playing Mourinho-ball, maybe we should have a little patience? After all not long ago people were talking like Zidane replacing Deschamps was a certainty.

Nobody would pretend we're Man Utd 1999 but we're not as bad as a few years ago either. Its like people have airbrushed out losing 3-0 at home against City and Liverpool in the same week under Moyes, or seeing United outplayed by Norwich at home during the dark days of Van Gaal.

I have read your comments and it's clear you have no idea what you're talking about.

I said it was much easier to play attractive football with players like Neymar/Messi etc which is just common sense, or maybe you have a better idea on why Enrique wasn't playing that style of football or winning trebles when he was being ousted from Roma amid fan protests.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

The irony that you exhibit in each reply is astounding.

You know full well what you're doing. The hot take that having Messi and Neymar in your team will help you play better football is so obviously true that saying it is just asinine and almost superfluous. Any dolt knows that. But that's not what you was saying and you fecking know it. You heavily implied that in order to play better football we NEED players of that ilk otherwise you have no chance of doing it. Which is just bollox. We have players at the club now to play better football. It's not a case of us needing 4 of the best players in the world. He needs to get better performances out of the players we already have.

You have no idea what you're talking about. You just spout shit constantly. Either you're thick or you're being deliberately obtuse. Bit of both no doubt. Anyway, this is getting tedious so see ya.

The only impressive part of this is your constant strides to claim some moral and intellectual high ground but inevitably fall way short.

I give him a lot of stick but I'm delighted to see that he is after a CB as a priority. We've needed a ball playing CB for years and it looks like we're finally getting one. I'm glad he sees a lot of our issues come from having defenders at the back who panic under the slightest bit of pressure and don't contribute to the build-up.

So what are Bailly and Lindelof then?

Bailly's alright - very hit and miss with his passing. The potential is there, though! Lindelof is rubbish from what I've seen so far from him here. Hopefully Bailly will come good but Lindelof was a poor buy from José.

Since Rio, Blind has been the only composed CB we've had and I thought his partnership with Smalling was our best since Rio and Vidic. I rate Maguire better than both (Bailly & Lindelof) so I'm happy José isn't settling and is going for a CB like him. I think he could form a good partnership with Smalling like Blind did.

Maybe the objective isn't a pair, but a group of three. With Bailly, Lindelof and the other, who could be Maguire or the belgium guy with a very complex name. The goal is the 3-5-2.

That's why Jose is asking for Willian. He isn't the best RW, but he could be, unironically, a perfect RWB. Like Perisic, but he was the ideal choice for the left.

Willian is not a wing back. Let's just say there's a reason Conte considered Moses, Kenedy and Pedro in that position but not him.

Just watched he'd his post match interview.
You'd think he hates football.

We're basically on tour for obligations as his main core of players aren't there and the few that are have to play every minute.

It's kind of funny his supporters complain so much about the negativity and moaning on the caf when Mourinho is the moaniest and most negative cnut of all.

Get that poll ready. He simply can’t afford to have a patchy start to the campaign while serving same brand of football, it will get ugly pretty quickly if that to happen.

Yeah, he's been consistent with how unfit for purpose this tour has been.
I thought he fought for this but obviously i was wrong lol.
I bet he's counting the says until this is over

Would be interesting to see how many people are expecting a complete meltdown this season

How a guy with that much negativity should motivate those around him is beyond me. I think he is done as a manager.

Works both ways.

His detractors are amongst the most insufferable posters on here.

He clearly hates a fair number of his squad going by that interview. He basically said a number of them can't be relied on to be focused and ready to play. Looks like Valencia and Martial are firmly in his bad books for a start.

Post-Match: "We started the game with a lot of players who will not be in our squad on August 9. This is not my squad, not even half, not even 30% of my squad. So don't look to this."

What a message to the young players! Textbook positivity which molds strong team cohesiveness. In some unbelievable ways, he's just like Comrade Orange... how does this result make me look? How do I deflect and distract from my failings.? The brand Manchester United may not be suffering in terms of sponsors but this current MUN is at the back of the queue in terms of appeal and excitement for new/fair-weather fans. Who the hell is looking forward to watching 90 mins of United football?

It's not the first time he has said something along those lines. Starting to get the feeling he's a ticking time bomb and he's not got long before he goes off.

Maybe they're just human beings with emotions who fecking hate having such a miserable cnut for a boss and don't want to run through walls for someone who's proven he has no problem talking shit about them to the press. It's hard to fault anyone who doesn't want to play for this man. Once you start alienating influential players, it becomes a virus that will continue to spread.

I'm sure most of us have worked for some horrible bosses at some point in our lives. I've just left a job I otherwise loved because my boss was such a dick that he made me hate the thing I've happily done the past 15 years of my life. It's very easy to relate.

He defends himself and himself only lately.

I hope we succeed with him, because of my love for United, but once he leaves(hopefully with a league title), I'll be giddy.

His attitude is terrible.

I honestly do, and it has feck all to do with the game today. From the start of preseason all he has done is moan and complain about literally everything, about players not being back in time, about why we have to play our first game on a friday, throwing shade at Woodward for not completing deals, and now after a god damn friendly taking digs at certain players yet again. Bailly apparently played injured which is a piss poor decision from Jose and the medical staff, who the feck plays an injured guy in a meaningless game? The board obv doesn't back him enough this summer for whatever reason and he said matic got injured during WC and had surgery. So much fecking negativity and the season hasn't even started yet. Hopefully we will avoid a complete meltdown but I can definitely see it happen, and if it does its 100% the boards fault.
