HE'S HERE FOR TWO GAMES - ONE OF WHICH IS AN ACADEMY RUN OUT.
Yeah, but he will be a cheap option for those games though

She interviewed Mount when he signed. He's probably between clubs, and wants to keep fit, so he'll play a few games on tour against the likes of Wrexham and then sign for Everton.Doesn’t his wife still work at the club?
I’d imagine it happened organically - a text message here or there. United are good to former players; it’s something the club gets right.
Laurie suggesting it might be more?
He'd only stay if Maguire leaves IMO.Maguire 6th choice centre back?

Surely for insurance purposes he'd have to sign a contract for a few weeks to enable him to travel with the club, etc. Protects him as well if he gets injured badly.so what did he sign?
Glad he joined. I wouldn't mind if he's for the year.If his wage demands are low (30-40k/week), I wouldn't mind getting him as fifth choice CB. I think we can manage just with Varane, Lisandro, Lindeloff (and Shaw there), but having another body to play those 8-12 matches per season would be better.

he has or had a standing offer from us, the club has never confirmed his departure either, really odd from our endI read the other day that he was going to be training with us - i assumed it was to get his fitness up and put himself in the window after being released by Leicester! I didnt expect to sign him, but as a squad option for 12 months, id take him.
there's talk of an offer from EvertonI wonder if this turns out to be similar to the Mcshane/Huddlestone deals with maybe an added occasional appearance in League Cup matches?
It's mandatory that we have at least one of Smalling, Jones, or Evans on the books at any one time.

it has expired but when we announced the 8 players leaving at the end of their contract they specifically said they were in talks with him, he has only just been removed from the squad list on the website and still no club statement of our captain leaving, very oddAh ok - that is odd. I thought his contract had expired, and he had just been released.
I get the jokes but these three are the best performers at CB between the Rio-Vidic and Varane-Lisandro eras. The likes of of Rojo, Bailly, Maguire or Lindelof don't even match the former three's average level.
Is this the shortest deal we have ever given someone?
Didn’t mind Evans when he was here. Good defender. His Mrs will be delightedly he is back. Personally thought he was going to sign for Celtic with Brendan now back there.
He was. Van Gaal didn’t help matters though because he blatantly made up his mind on players on day one and went out of his way to prove himself right.I love the enthusiasm for this. Unless it’s to help out as fifth choice centre half, it’d be mental for him to stay beyond pre-season, though.
I also kinda love the revisionism. If any player actively played themselves out of the club post-Ferguson then it was Evans. He was genuinely abysmal in the period up to his departure, and ultimately he was responsible for how it ended.
He’s had a great career, mind.
Imagine we're looking to move on a lot of academy fodder CBs and want to rotate/not put too much pressure on our first choice CBs during preseason.
He could also end up in a McShane role perhaps?
I think he's great for cup runs, experience and professionalism in general.
I'd take him on a 2 year deal honestly if we don't have funds for a CB then get rid of Bailly and Maguire
What more does ETH have to do to let Maguire know he's not wanted?
