Joao Felix / on loan to Chelsea

I think you're really overvaluing Arsenal being first in this moment in time. Half the season to go with a tricky run ahead.
That’s why I said ‘could’. Any player would be tempted to go to a team that’s top of the league… it makes life easier for them as they’ll already be entering a winning team, if he comes to us he’ll have more responsibility in contributing to help us climb the table and finish top 4.

I think he could potentially be superb here. His play with his back to goal is very very good. He can receive the ball and turn well.

I don't see Arsenal spending the £££ on him when he's a very similar fit to Jesus, I think it's far more likely they spend the £££ on Mudryk.

They have more money than us this window so sounds like they can afford both

Jesus is injured, and will probably come back unfit and out of form. A loan makes perfect sense for all parties. If he does well at Arsenal Atm can sell him for big bucks. Or Arsenal might fork over the dough.

Worth the risk
Definitely worth the risk. There’s a potentially brilliant player in there in the right system and his ball striking is so clean. I think there is a greater attraction to play here now and thanks to them hag and if he thinks felix can play in his system then we should be happy with that.

I'm strangely calm again this. We have missed bigger players during Fergie's time. If he comes great, if he doesnt I have faith that ETH can pull some rabbits out of his hat.

I like Felix and imo he could be the difference of being comfortable in top 4 or struggling to achieve it.

I also think it gives us options to rest Bruno and take Anthony out of the firing line if his lack of form continues.

It also means if Sancho continues struggling for whatever reason we'll not be relying on elanga to fill the void. (If Sancho comes back with fire in his belly we'll all of a sudden have great options)

Yeah that's a very good point

Wonder if he is another Ronaldo worshipper and asks for his opinion. If he does, Arsenal it is

Agree with this. It just makes sense to add another quality option who can fill in a number of positions. Gives us options to rotate and rest when we need to without the quality dropping.

Assuming Felix comes on loan for a ridiculous fee and helps us get into CL and fecks off, this deal is worth it.

It would make us more attractive when we go on a big recruitment drive in the summer (when we finally have some money again).

I can't believe the Glazers won't release some funds, since CL would add value to the asset they want to sell.

Now, Aboubakar. That makes sense :wenger:

Plus they’d make the money back plus more on finishing in a champions league spot. So it will all be worth it in the end. I think sometimes they don’t look at the bigger picture.

I'm not saying they will win the league, but for a player moving in January, on a loan, the team at the top with a 5 point lead is an enticing prospect.

Arsenal does have their selling points, is all, and not simply "Bruno, Dalot, etc"

Should try to get a loan deal with option to buy. Let's say his value is 70-80m€.
Loan deal 6-8m€ + full wages. Option 62-74m€ depending on what his total value is considered to be.

Think that is fair since he wants to leave and nobody knows if Simeone has halted his progression to much for him to become WC or not.

I love his shooting technique, you never really expects it when he shoots and how hard the shot is. He also have good movement and is suprisingly good in the air. Think ETH will be great for his development and I dont think we can get anybody else in january that will improve us enough.

Yeah I have a horrible feeling by the time I fully warm to the idea he will have joined Arsenal

Agents Bruno and Dalot will have been doing their work i'm sure.

IF we can strike a fair deal with Atletico i'm sure he'd be happy to join.

Sky seem to think arsenal are much more advanced on this. I’m resigned that we aren’t getting him.

I get he will be useful for 6 months but what are we going to do with him as a permanent option? Surely he's not the right option as a long term striker. LW is Rashford and Garnacho and then we have Sancho and Martial. RW is Antony/Sancho - Amad? Back up number 10? Are we going to spend 70/80 mill on a rotation player? Why do people want him permanently? To play where?
