Yeah, you missed a trick there. That should always been the plan. Tolerate Ronaldo till you get Leao/Felix in, then boot him out.
 
Mendes might want to nudge him in our direction to sweeten things after the Ronaldo debacle. It still feels a bit pointless signing him for a few months but I guess it is way better than the emerging alternatives.
 
When Jesus is back fit in a few weeks Felix wouldn't even be a sure starter for Arsenal. Makes no sense to me.

I'd say he's far more likely to knock Martial out of our team.

Trouble is they are well in for the league and fear that's going to turn his head in their direction

I just assumed he was but maybe he isn't but yeh its fecking mad that we went for rabiot AND Arnautovic no matter how high or low they were on the list:lol:

It depends what you mean by Felix better than Gapko? if you compare both their numbers in the last few years, Gapko is way ahead.

Also, Rabiot was after Frenkie, he wasn't first choice either.

Yeah I would say Felix has more talent and flair but Gakpo scores more goals

I’m not sure… some people on here was saying he spoke to the club as early as January. He might of only made his decision to leave in the summer though.

Different leagues, different teams..... not saying Felix is the next great thing, he certainly has not grown into his hype/potential, however he was never the right player for the way AM play.

As for Gakpo, I will be surprised if he is great at pool, might have a good spell or 2 but he is no replacement for Mane and no huge loss to Utd, in terms of improvement on what we already have similar

Too expensive for such a risky gamble on the transfer market IMO. And I actually think he is quite skilled.

I think you're really overvaluing Arsenal being first in this moment in time. Half the season to go with a tricky run ahead.
 
He might go to Arsenal. He might go to United. He might stay at Atleti. No need for some to be emo about it.
