Jesse Lingard | Seoul singer

Good that he's happy.

Shame he turned out to be such a knob. Looked like he had the potential to be a good squad player when he got his chance under Mourinho, but as soon as he had reached a decent level it's like he just completely switched off.

To be fair to him, he was apparently on a Korean talk show and promised to do that celebration because they asked him to.

i am happy for the lad, not everyone would have made this move so its nice that its working out. He did lose his way but that FA Cup winner will live long in the memory.

Being wealthy in Korea, I’m not surprised he’s having more fun there than you know playing for Watford. It’s an amazing country, and I throughly enjoyed it without his level of wealth.

Where would you rather spend your time?

Good for him.
Not saying there's anything wrong with it.
It's just a lower league than the championship.
He could easily play for a lower prem team if he put the effort in.

I like to see this, to be honest. A lot of narratives just run wild and unchecked - and often involve a lot of dogwhistles. United being poor for so long has made it fertile ground for this.

Lingard, Pogba and Rashford aren’t without criticism. However the idea that they destroyed Manchester United’s culture is fanciful to say the least - yet I’ve come across similar narrative before.

Funny enough, all three of them contributed considerably to some of the best moments this club has had since 2013

There aren't any dogwhistles. They just want scapegoats. I do find it hard to believe that Jesse destroyed the culture of United, he has never looked like the evil conniving type.

It’s a narrative pedalled on this very forum on an almost daily basis

Can include Sancho there as well, maybe been spoiled overpaid brats not giving 100% and prefer been Jlingz and launching fashion and going on social media saying sorry instead of putting the effort in on the pitch.

Agreed. I think Lingard is a prat but he's not destroyed United's culture. Nor have Rashford or Pogba. They're a symptom not a cause. Like casemiro and Ronaldo were symptoms of us spending crazy sums on over the hill former greats, not a cause. In another universe in which Rashford is managed by a Klopp or a Pep (or a fergie obviously but he was retired) and not given insane wages so soon he has a longer, more successful united career and is loved by united fans everywhere.

I disagree, there was form for lacking basics in training and that was a consistency with these players.

I guess it's a bit chicken and egg, but I'd argue that a preexisting culture let them get away with it.

Thank god someone can see this.

United's culture has been dead post SAF and all these players came afterwards where they had to grow up with no leaders both at managerial and player level and had no way capacity to keep united hard working culture.

I don’t remember Lingard ever being accused of being a poor trainer.
He was disliked for being an annoying prat, but as far as I’m aware he always put the effort in.

Off-pitch clownery aside, Lingard never struck me as lazy or inconsistent in the same manner as Pogba, Rashford and Sancho. He always made an effort and it's (ironically) lazy to lump him in with the rest of them.
