Shaky, but quite frankly who cares if he's excellent in possession and going forward. How is he defensively? Looking at Transfermarkt his has primarily played RM in a 3-5-2 system?
I would say better than TAA but slightly less effective than Reece James. But offensive been really impressive, physically strong also. How is he defensively? Looking at Transfermarkt his has primarily played RM in a 3-5-2 system?
Sounds like he could do Antony's job for him yeaHis link up with Antony could be tasty and with Antony being quite good defensively this could be a very nice combo on the right
By all accounts, if Frimpong arrives, AWB departs.Basically an Antony replacement as much as a new RB.
Frimpong and AWB could be a decent pairing on the right.
Roberto Carlos was 5'6, Lahm was 5'7Mmmm... 5'7".. Do not want
Dalot has a year left on his contract and was the one reportedly considering his options. Could be a toss up between the two, but I feel Dalot less likely to accept being a backup on the bench.By all accounts, if Frimpong arrives, AWB departs.
Dalot would be a bit redundant if we brought a Frimpong in.Dalot has a year left on his contract and was the one reportedly considering his options. Could be a toss up between the two, but I feel Dalot less likely to accept being a backup on the bench.
Honestly, if he's any shorter than Dan Burn I don't want him in our back line regardless of whether he's a full back or a centre half. It's already full of midgets like Shaw, Malacia, Martinez and Dalot turning out on a regular basis so adding another one really wouldn't help. I'll add the white text this time so it's obvious that I'm jokingRoberto Carlos was 5'6, Lahm was 5'7
Our own legend Denis Irwin 5'8 and so was Dani Alves.
Height typically has nothing to do with the ability of FB's or their roles.
By all accounts, if Frimpong arrives, AWB departs.
Is it hypercritical to suggest it's a red flag that Pep and City didn't stop him leaving city? I know they can't stop a youth player leaving but could this be like Pogba 2012/Sancho leaving city situation?
That’s not happening and it would be awful.Basically an Antony replacement as much as a new RB.

I think people in here do far too much of this reading of tea leaves instead of just judging with their own eyes. "Is player A really good enough when club A let him leave five years ago and player B is currently struggling for us?"
I was a big fan of Sancho and quite disappointed when he moved to United because I was afraid that things might go exactly as they did. I'm more optimistic now that Ten Hag is your coach. Still not sure if I want Frimpong to move to Manchester as you guys still don't get the best out of Sancho. But whereever he moves, Frimpong has definitely deserved himself that move with exceptional performances. And if he fails (which is always entirely possible) then it's not because one could foresee it but because things didn't work out as expected.
If Frimpong is very strong attacking but weaker defensively, I think Dalot would leave and AWB would stay.
According to today's Athletic article, it's AWB who is first out the door.By all accounts, in August. Not now. After AWB had a resurgence and Dalot has been nothing but a horror show since the WC.
Dalot also has a year less on his contract and is more sought after in Europe.
Think he would work well with Antony really. Especially since Antony is as 1 deminsional as he is. At least with an overlapping fullback defenders have to worry about that and the inevitable cut-in and shoot.
Young, raw, talented, unpredictable, skillful, nimble player. He's one of the fastest players in Bundesliga. Far from being a finished product. Final ball still let's him down. Goal scoring not bad for a right back sure Fosu mensah has given him a few tips.
At 5,7 I'll be concerned about the height or lack of it, of our back line if we are still interested in signing Jurrien Timber. I'm imagining a back four with Frimpong, Timber, Martinez, Malacia.
His dribbling is so good that his final ball usually has to be a simple cutback. Have someone there to finish them and he'll be brilliant for any attacking team. How is this lad’s final ball / cross?
Wouldn’t mind some better deliveries coming in from the right to mirror what Shaw offers on the left.
Saw someone mention in a different thread that he'd also count as homegrown due to playing for City when he was younger. Is anyone able to confirm that?
Given the players we're apparently looking to offload this summer that could actually be quite significant.
Yes, he would count as homegrown as he was at City since he was a kid.Saw someone mention in a different thread that he'd also count as homegrown due to playing for City when he was younger. Is anyone able to confirm that?
