:( thanks for everything Hernandez. You won't find a striker like him, always giving his all, content to be back up and just sit on the bench and wait to be called upon as long as he does get chances, and not whine about it all the time. Love the guy, but he just can't stay on as 3rd or 4th choice when he'd start for most other teams around.

Hope he stays ,but won't blame him if he decides that he wants regular football elsewhere.

That celebration says a lot I think about the state of the club. He's obviously fallen out of love with it.

He'll score bucket loads for a good passing team and we'll be made to look like fools.

Unfortunately, this surmises my feelings as well. I want to know what is Moyes' plan for us. So far, all we have heard is he has plans but what are they? Letting go of players like Hernandez is not something which looks to be part of a great plan.

Fabio was actually sad about the whole thing, Hernandez on the other hand looked pissed off, which I quite like.

Moyes has killed his love for the club, probably his biggest crime of all. He is definitely gone, and something I am going to hate to see. All the best if he does choose to leave, and no one would begrudge him doing so.

Not really. Signing Van Persie killed his future at the club, it has little to do with Moyes.

But yeah - started 4 out of 32 league games this season, not surprised he wants out.

I'd argue that and Welbeck being homegrown.

He linked up play really well when he came on.

Yeah. Looks like he is gone at the end of the season. A pity. I liked the fella.

@OnlyTwoDaSilvas I disagree with your post, man. I thought he was sharp and neat when he had the ball even before his goal.

Yeah, I think I'm being a bit harsh on him, but there was a few occasions where he was either shrugged off with ease, or his hold up play resulted on our play being dragged quite far back. But he scored. I shouldn't really criticise him.

I still love him, and I really don't want him to leave, but I understand why Moyes considers him to be 4th choice. I hope he goes abroad if he does leave. I couldn't watch that adorable little face score against us.

Feel sorry for him. Love the little guy but he's clearly unhappy at being a bit part player and I don't think he's good enough to start.

He is leaving, a bit shit but it was always going to happen. He is too good to never play.

Ha ha. I love this shit. If only Mourinho was manager Hernandez would start every game ahead of Rooney and RVP and wouldn't want to leave!

Where did I say that isn't the case?

Jesus Christ. You said it was Moyes' fault that he wants to leave. No it isn't - it was Ferguson who signed Van Persie and the second that happened his days here were numbered.

I can't take anyone serious who thinks he isn't at the level required of a Manchester United player. His only fault is that RVP and Rooney are better.

Hopefully he shows his worth at the World Cup, and for his new team, wherever he goes.

I think the run that Welbeck had as a striker was what sealed the deal. Chicha is smart enough to know that he won't be starting ahead of RVP and Rooney but I think he expected to be third in the pecking order for the striker position.

We also ended up buying Mata and now are (thankfully) playing a lone striker when RVP or Rooney is injured. His chances will be even more limited than they were.

I love the guy and I hope he goes to a proper team and gets a chance to shine. I don't want him ending up at some obscure but rich club :(

He played plenty last year and looked happy enough so not sure how you come to that conclusion.

I join my voice with you there. Everything he did with that smile once upon a time ago was always worth watching it live; it's criminal to snuff out the joy of playing from someone like him.

I said he killed his love for the club because he didn't celebrate whatsoever, the first time I have ever seen him do that. Hernandez has played almost as many games this season as he did last, and with still 7 games to go, but last season he would celebrate every goal as if it had won us the league. van Persie has been out half of this season for feck's sake; he hasn't kept Hernandez out at all. Yet Moyes has chosen not to play him when he has had many a good game linking up with Rooney up front, and on record has had better games with him than van Persie has. Yes, leaving one of RvP and Rooney out when they are both fit is unthinkable, but when one is injured then surely a player who has scored 20 in one season for us and offers something different in the box should be utilised more?

He started 9 games in the league last year. Before we signed Van Persie it was twice as many.

Outside the cups Hernandez has played trash minutes this season. When we're down 3-0 and there's no point, last 3 minutes to make time, 10 minute cameo. Before the last two matches he probably didn't play at all for like two months. I certainly don't remember him being subbed in with 30 minutes to go.

Like I said I am not surprised he's pissed off/sad/wanting to leave, its a World Cup year and he barely gets to play.

It has nothing to do with Moyes though and it certainly isn't his fault. He is just not as good as our other options. When Van Persie was signed it was always going to end his chances of starting 30 games a season.

I'll miss him so very much. I just hope he gets into a club that'll play him and play him in the correct way.

Been a great servant and his first season was something incredible. Shame what's happened since.

We're reading way too much into this. We were 3-1 up and he scored in extra time, it would be classless to go over the top with his celebrations. Classless is one thing Hernandez isn't. Had it been a late winner things would've been far different.

Not saying he isn't leaving because he probably is, but I think we're making too much out if this.

I'm pleased he got his goal but the criticism of Moyes in this discussion is baffling. Hernandez isn't and probably never will be good or consistent enough in terms of all round play to ever be a regular at the club like United, or any other top club for that matter. We have three other strikers that offer a lot more, as well as two very good #10's in Mata and Kagawa. His game time is limited for good reason.

A striker in the modern central striker role has to be so much more than a goalscorer. Replacing Mario Gomez with Mandzukic was a great decision for this very reason. Good luck to Javier, he's a great lad, but it's time for him to leave and score goals elsewhere, and I'm sure he will.

Moyes has done nothing wrong here.

No. There we many occasions this season, with an injured RVP, when we needed a late goal and Hernandez sat on the bench. it's quite obvious Hernandez has not been used to the same effect under Moyes that he was used under SAF. He is the biggest victim of Moyes negative football.

Terrible to see because he should be the ultimate super sub, as he often was before this year.
